Invincible season 2, episode 6 just teased the return of a major villain, with this meaning that Omni-Man’s alien baby will get his powers much sooner than expected. Invincible season 2 has been pretty packed so far, with it being crammed full of new and returning characters, storylines, and setups. However, one of the most exciting storylines has to do with Omni-Man’s son that he had while on Thraxa, and while this hasn’t had much development yet, the ending of Invincible season 2, episode 6 has teased that a major change is about to happen.
Invincible season 2, part 2 is finally here, with the highly anticipated continuation of Amazon Prime Video’s animated adaptation of the superhero comic series now releasing. Invincible season 2, part 2 picks up right where Invincible season 2, part 1 ended, with Mark returning home from Thraxa after seeing his father Omni-Man. However, Mark isn’t alone, with him bringing a friend back to Earth: his half-Thraxan half-Viltrumite brother. Oliver Grayson is an up-and-coming superhero on Earth, and although he is just a baby in Invincible season 2, episode 6, his full transformation is just around the corner.
Invincible’s Sequid Return Hints Kid Omni-Man Is Coming Soon
The main villain of Invincible season 2 is Rus Livingston, a human astronaut who becomes the primary host for a dangerous Martian parasitic race known as the Sequids. Much of Invincible season 2, part 2 is dedicated to following the Guardians as they attempt to stop a invasion of Earth by the Sequids, with the heroes journeying into space to fight the aliens off. Luckily, they are able to stop him, although not entirely. Although Rus seems to have become normal, the end of the episode sees him vomit up a Sequid, hinting that the invasion is still on.

Invincible Season 3: Cast, Story, & Everything We Know
The Amazon Prime Video series Invincible shined during its first two seasons, and here’s everything we know about the upcoming season 3.
This Rus Livingston beat is also in the Invincible comics, with it hinting at the introduction of Kid Omni-Man. In the comics, Oliver Grayson gains his Viltrumite powers in the issue immediately after Rus Livingston coughs up the Sequid, meaning that this transformation is just around the corner. Invincible season 2, episode 7 could easily see a slightly older version of Oliver Grayson make his debut, showing his powers to Mark for the first time. This will lead to the arc where he takes up the mantle of Kid Omni-Man, with this being one of the highlights of season 2.
How Rus Livingston’s Story Changes The Invincible Comics
Although Rus Livingston isn’t one of the main villains in the Invincible comics, his villain arc does have a major effect on the series. After being initially defeated by the Guardians of the Globe, the Sequids go into hiding, slowly rebuilding their ranks in the background of Invincible‘s main story. Rus Livingston doesn’t return until after the Invincible War storyline, with him using the repercussions of the attacks carried out by Angstrom Levy and the evil Mark Graysons to try and retake over the world.
Upon returning, the Sequids hide out in the sewers, with them launching a full-scale invasion of Earth. Luckily, Cecil and the Global Defense Agency are able to act fast, creating a quarantine area and blocking the Sequids from moving further. The Guardians are sent into the quarantine zone and are tasked with saving the uninfected civilians. Robot deduces that the Sequids are using the sewers as a base, with him dropping into the sewers and taking out their new main host. However, it is later revealed that a Sequid has entered Robot, with him killing it while in the shower.
Invincible Season 2, Episode 6 Proves Oliver Is Growing Fast
In order to become Kid Omni-Man, Oliver still has to grow a little more. However, Invincible season 2, episode 6 proves that Oliver is already growing pretty fast, meaning that his role as Kid Omni-Man isn’t too far away. Oliver talks a lot more in episode 6 than he did in episode 5, with this rapid offscreen growth being a good sign for the likelihood of Oliver appearing as Kid Omni-Man.

Omni-Man’s Books In Invincible Season 2: All Viltrumite Clues Explained
Invincible season 2, part 2 has finally given Omni-Man’s books a proper introduction, and here’s what they mean for the future of the show.
Invincible has made some comic book changes, meaning that it is possible that the Kid Omni-Man storyline may not take place immediately after the Sequid invasion. After all, Angstrom Levy kidnaps Debbie and baby Oliver before the Sequid story in the comics, whereas he still hasn’t been kidnapped yet. Because of this, it is possible that Kid Omni-Man may be held off until Invincible season 3, something that is disappointing for fans of the character.
Invincible
Based on the comic book character by Robert Kirkman, Invincible follows Mark Grayson, a seventeen-year-old who leads a seemingly average life save for the fact that he lives behind the shadow of his superhero father, Omni-Man. Mark goes on to develop superhuman abilities, but he must also learn that his father’s legacy isn’t as glitzy and glamorous as he’s been led to believe.
