Inside Out 2’s Trailer Song Is More Important Than You Realize

Inside Out 2’s Trailer Song Is More Important Than You Realize

Inside Out 2 brings the audience back to Riley’s mind and her various, complex emotions, and one of the trailers perfectly teases and encapsulates the upcoming movie’s plot. The 2024 Pixar animated coming-of-age film, directed by Kelsey Mann and written by Meg LeFauve, is a sequel to 2015’s Inside Out and features the return of characters like Riley, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. The animated project takes place only one year following the first film’s events, but a lot can happen in a year, especially when young girls go from their preteen years to their teenage ones.

As Inside Out 2‘s release date gets closer, Pixar releases more teaser videos to build anticipation. As seen in the trailers, the sequel will explore Riley’s venture into being a teenager, which includes the arrival of new emotions at headquarters, much to the dismay of Joy and company. Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, has already popped up in the trailers, but they show only a glimpse at the new character. Nevertheless, Anxiety’s appearance is enough to clue fans in on what Inside Out 2 is about, and the background song in one video is quite significant to the film’s themes.

‘Crazy Train’ Is The Perfect Song For Highlighting Inside Out 2’s Themes

Inside Out 2’s Trailer Song Is More Important Than You Realize

Pixar dropped a 30-second Inside Out 2 trailer titled “Team,” which features “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne, and the importance of the song’s presence shouldn’t be lost on viewers. Based on what is known about the upcoming animated movie, it will explore puberty and mental health, which is why “Crazy Train” is the perfect song for the teaser video. Like any 13-year-old, Riley will experience an abundance of emotions that she’s not familiar with, resulting in her feeling overwhelmed and anxious.

There is no better song to embody what Riley is feeling in Inside Out 2 than “Crazy Train.” Osbourne’s debut solo single seemingly wraps up the plot and themes of the 2024 film in a little under five minutes. If the sequel is anything like the first movie, it will touch upon difficult (but necessary) topics, and because mental health is one of Inside Out 2‘s focuses, “Crazy Train” serves a significant purpose to the film’s central storyline.

As mentioned above, Inside Out 2, which is classified as a “coming-of-age” film, will center around Riley transitioning into a teenager and developing new emotions, like Anxiety.
