Infinity War Black Order Clip: Avengers V Team Thanos

An action-packed new clip from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War shows the MCU’s heroes going against Thanos’ Black Order.

The villainous children of Thanos have been rumored to play a big part in Infinity War since their arrival was teased at Disney’s D23. However, fans can now get a closer look at how they fit into the supersized superhero ensemble.

As Anthony Mackie sat with Good Morning America to explain Falcon’s role in Infinity War, the show unveiled an exclusive clip of the Avengers in action. Starting at 3:28 in the video above, the clip is set in a train station as Captain America, Black Widow, and Mackie’s Falcon go head-to-head with some of the Black Order. Featured in the clip are Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, who will be played by MCU newcomers Carrie Coon and what certainly sounds like Peter Dinklage. While Midnight and Glaive are easily bested by the newly-reformed Avengers, the scene ends before fans really see them in action. The Black Order may be down for now, but with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow choosing to spare their lives, it could be a decision she lives to regret.

It isn’t clear where in the movie this scene takes place, but it logically comes before film’s climax in Wakanda. A video previously revealed that Proxima Midnight will be on the hunt to remove the Mind Stone from Vision, which leads her to cross paths with Captain America. Some leaked LEGO sets for the movie have similarly revealed that at least Glaive makes it to Wakanda, meaning that this clip isn’t the last audiences will see of him in the film.

As the right-hand man of Thanos and a keen military strategist, Glaive could be crucial in that final battle facing the Avengers, but as for Midnight, she is tipped for an earlier demise. A separate clip seems to show Black Widow plunging her own spear into Proxima’s heart, so her warning of “but we will” may have fallen on deaf ears.

Both Midnight and Glaive have been pitched as two of the Black Order’s biggest members, but the big question is, where are Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian? With only a week until Avengers: Infinity War‘s April 27 premiere, audiences are slowly piecing together the plot of the movie through its various TV spots and trailers. That being said, directors Anthony and Joe Russo promise they are hiding plenty more up their sleeves, to further ensure that fans head to theaters to see the movie in full.
