Immortals Fenyx Rising: Best Things to Do After Beating The Game

Immortals Fenyx Rising: Best Things to Do After Beating The Game

With a mountain of things to do in Immortals Fenyx Rising, one might find it difficult to imagine much whether there’s much more of anything to accomplish once the game is finished. After players finally reach the end goal and defeat Typhon and restore the Gods to their former glory, what comes next is a legitimate curiosity.

As far as end game content goes, Immortals Fenyx Rising does have a plan in the form of DLC. But what about what’s already in the game? The game’s map isn’t the biggest one around but it’s jam-packed with puzzles and monsters to slay. Here are a few things players can do once they’ve completed the game.

Best Things to do After Beating Immortals Fenyx Rising

Nightmare Mode

From the start of the game, players have access to 4 difficulties; Story, Easy, Normal, and Hard. Depending on how quickly getting to the end of the game matters, playing on story mode will be a breeze while hard mode will take slightly more than the average playtime. There is a 5th difficulty called Nightmare mode that unlocks after finishing the game. Enemies are far stronger and deadly, there is zero health regeneration, stamina regenerates at a normal rate, fall damage still hurts, and players will receive no assistance during puzzles and myth challenges. This mode is a perfect challenge for those who want to see how well they fair against Typhons minions of darkness.

New Game +

After completing the game, players have an opportunity to restart the game while carrying everything they’ve earned over to New Game +. This includes weapons and armor collected, wings, abilities, and consumables on hand; potions, elektrum, etc… Every puzzle, map location, and questline is also refreshed for a complete redo. This couples fairly well with nightmare mode since this way, players won’t have to start a vanilla new game with no upgrades at all. However, if self-punishment is the true goal here, go ahead and choose a regular new game from the menu and enter nightmare mode for a truly harrowing experience.

Armor/Collectibles/Abilities/Hidden Quests

Just in case players decided to b-line the story mode and completely ignore most of the exploration involved on the island, once Typhon is available to fight, a separate save is created. This way, once players have defeated him, they can return to that “Typhon” save and go about exploring the island in order to find all the chests and hidden missions that may award armor pieces, weapons, and wings. A lot of the hidden missions are pretty obscure, and some don’t activate upon immediate approach to the area. Such as picking up an unusual item that may spark a conversation between Zeus and Prometheus, but nothing else. Check the item and the inventory and it should have some kind of hint.

Achievements/Trophies

There is a handful of Secret achievements/trophies, and a few that aren’t so secret that require some series exploration to complete. New game + is a great opportunity to take full advantage of  Fenyx’s abilities to do so. This can take quite a bit of time and really extend that endgame feeling players might be looking for.

Mounts/Mythical Monsters

Across the games island, there are well over a dozen mounts that players can tame and use during their travels. Mounts tend to travel in groups and there are many of each kind so in case players fail to catch one, there should be others nearby. However, there are even rarer mounts that only one of each type exist. These take some serious exploration to find so don’t be surprised if it takes a new game + run to get them all.

Also, there are 4 mythical monsters that players can fight and defeat. These are unrelated to the main story so players can fight them at any time. They are powerful so waiting until Fenyx has been upgraded sufficiently is a safe bet. Speaking to the Athena at the Hall of Gods will spark a side quest to defeat Ozomene, one of the Mythical monsters. But, players can defeat them on their own terms at anytime.

DLC

Immortals Fenyx Rising’s current roadmap is set for a total of 3 main expansions. On January 28th, the first expansion released “A New God”, which takes players to the Olympus Palace to undergo a daunting trial. Occasionally, other random quests are added to the game like the “Blood of Zeus” quest that took place a few days prior. These might occur randomly so keep an eye out as they usually award in-game items. If elekrtum happens to be one of these rewards, spend them with Hermes to get cosmetics that may not be available by playing the game regularly.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
