“I Am No Jedi”: Ashley Eckstein Launches New Ahsoka Tano-Inspired Fashion Collection

Ashley Eckstein, voice actress of Star Wars fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, has launched a new Ahsoka-inspired fashion collection honoring the Rebels episode in which she tells her former master, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, “I am no Jedi.” Ahsoka was introduced in The Clone Wars (2008) movie and went on to have multiple appearances throughout the Star Wars timeline, including in The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Tales of the Jedi, and others. Ahsoka has since been portrayed in live-action by Rosario Dawson, but Eckstein is the voice of the beloved animated character.

Ashley Eckstein posted the news of the fashion line to her Instagram account, announcing that the fashion line, which she herself designed, is based on Star Wars Rebels episode season 2, episode 22, “Twilight of the Apprentice Part 2,” in which she has her now infamous clash with Vader and delivers one of Ahsoka’s best quotes. In the fight, she tells Darth Vader that she will avenge Anakin’s death. In response to Vader’s rebuttal that “revenge is not the Jedi way,” Ahsoka tells him, “I am no Jedi,” the line on which the new collection is based.

While the line, as Eckstein rightly says in her post, is now iconic, it has taken an interesting turn in the franchise. The Ahsoka series introduces Ahsoka as Ahsoka the White, a true Jedi. Even so, the line remains celebrated, so much so that the fashion collection it inspired will be released on what has been deemed a fan-proclaimed holiday.

Ahsoka season 2 has finally been confirmed by Star Wars, and the story is now in development. Here’s everything we know about the project.

Ashley Eckstein Has Officially Announced Ahsoka Tano Day

Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars Rebels.

In her Instagram post, Eckstein makes reference to an Ahsoka Tano Day, evidently established and celebrated by viewers although observed not only by Eckstein but also by Disneyland and Disney World. Ahsoka Tano Day takes place on January 29th, and, in advance of that date, the collection will become available alongside Disney appearances by Eckstein. The first event will be held in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in the Star Wars Launch Bay on January 27th, and the second event will be held in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District at the Star Wars Trading Post on January 28th.

Both events will feature a meet-and-greet with Ashley Eckstein, and the fashion collection will be available to buy at both Disney locations. The merchandise is set to later go live on the Shop Disney website, although that will offer a more limited selection. This fashion line is exciting, but it’s not a shock; Eckstein has remained a major supporter of Ahsoka since beginning the role in 2008, and she is constantly making appearances and collaborating with Star Wars and Disney to keep Ahsoka Tano front and center for the fandom, perfectly prepping fans for the recently announced Ahsoka season 2.
