How Weird Can TikTok Get? Slapping Mom’s Breasts Weird

TikTok is a viral platform and if you’ve ever wondered how weird the videos can get on the service, then a new video that’s now trending might help to provide an answer. Especially considering it’s now going viral on at least one other social media service.

Social media is a complicated place and sometimes it is difficult to avoid certain types of content. On TikTok this is made all the more harder due to the platform being almost purpose-built to share snappy viral content. While this usually doesn’t affect those not on TikTok to begin with, TikTok videos are occasionally so alarming or obscure that they start trending on one of the other social media services, as is the case now.

A recent TikTok video is now circulating on Twitter due to the strangeness of its content. Essentially, and in a bid to generate those likes, the TikTokker in question slaps his mom’s breasts. Making the video all the stranger is that the slapping was designed to sync with the intro to “Undercover Martyn” by Two Door Cinema Club. Those accustomed to TikTok will know this was already a popular meme on the platform, although typically it involves males having various body parts slapped in time to the song – not a mom and son which is what’s caused the recent attention. In either case, the original TikTok post has since been deleted, with The Daily Dot reporting the content creator was forced to remove the video due to it being against the service’s guidelines.

TikTok Continues To Be A Unique Service

It could just be the cast that Twitter users are not quite in step with TikTok users, as the comments on the reshared post suggest many in the Twitterverse don’t quite understand why the video exists or who would create it? Of course, TikTok is a very different place, and with such limited time to get a message across (let alone one that goes viral), many TickTockers often use shock tactics to make an impression. Therefore, this might not seem as weird to those using the app as it could to users of a different service. That said, with the video on Twitter already having generated more than 4.5 million views and accumulated over 160 thousand likes, it seems the viral nature of this particular TikTok video transcends social media space.

Besides the unusual nature of the video, TikTok has come under closer inspection recently due to the more serious issues that are arising from the service. In the past few months alone, TikTok has been accused of inadvertently promoting drug use and creating challenges that have resulted in some needing hospital treatment for injuries. This is in addition to the service also raising questions on how it responds to incidents following a live-streamed teen suicide on the platform.
