Say hello to new TikTok narrators for autumn, courtesy of Disney. The text-to-speech tool is a top feature on TikTok and appears in countless videos. The platform has several voice-over options, some of them singing and others with odd effects. But if musicals, chipmunk voices, and accents aren’t captivating enough, then maybe one of the app’s commissioned narrators will pique interest.
TikTok, a short-form video platform, loves collaborating with businesses to bring their users fun and exciting features. They recently teamed up with Genshin Impact to create a Klee filter that took over the For You Page. Last year, they worked with Disney to bring content creators new narrators inspired by Marvel characters for the text-to-speech tool. Disney enjoyed the feature’s success and has returned with new voices inspired by their most popular theme park attractions.
It’s easy to find and use the TikTok Disney voices to celebrate the fall festivities. Start by opening TikTok and creating a new video. After recording the video, tap the red checkmark to move on to the editing page. Click the ‘Text’ icon at the top of the editing panel on the right. Now, type a sentence over the video and apply the font and formatting. Once written, tap the ‘Text-to-speech’ icon to reveal TikTok’s many voice options. Scroll through the menu panel to discover the ‘Disney’ tab. Select it and choose one of the three options available. To save time, click the button that says, ‘Apply voice to all text in this video.’ Only check this option if that is the desired outcome. Tap ‘Done’ when finished with the text editing. The applied character will now read out the on-screen text.
What Are The Disney Voices Available?
Disney and TikTok drew inspiration from the theme park’s most popular rides to bring Disney fans and TikTok users this experience. Voices from Madam Leota and Ghost Host are based on characters from the Haunted Mansion attraction. Then there is a Disney Pirate voice adapted from another fan-favorite ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. In the text-to-speech menu, tap each selection to hear how it sounds.
TikTok and Disney released the feature in early September to celebrate the upcoming fall festivities, but the voices will only be available for three months. Those TikTok videos already posted with text-to-speech audio will retain the narrator. Try the Disney voice-overs on TikTok while the spooky season is still in full swing.
