How To Unlock The W1 Pipe-Rock Plateau Special Course In Super Mario Bros. Wonder

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, players will be able to enjoy plenty of traditional Mario features including Special Courses, each of which can be accessed in their corresponding world starting with W1, Pipe Rock Plateau. These special course entrances are hidden in each of the worlds, typically behind difficult challenges.

Once the challenge has been completed, Mario and his friends will be able to head to the Special World where they can complete the difficult hidden course. Unfortunately, while the course itself is not going to be easy, neither will reaching it, however, frustrations can be minimized by paying close attention to one particular course.

How To Unlock The Pipe-Rock Plateau Special Course

The first entrance to the Special World is going to be in World 1 of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Pipe Rock Plateau, specifically through the Bulrush Express course. Though it may seem like players just need to complete the course, it’s not that simple. There is actually a hidden exit at the end of the course, so completing it will not be enough. In order to access this secret exit, Mario will need to make it to the false ending of the course.

Trying to complete this course any other way might be accomplishable, but it will be way more difficult than it needs to be. Instead, ride on the back of the bulls through the course while being mindful of the various obstacles since the level will occasionally force you off the bulls. Do this only when necessary and immediately jump back on to avoid being left behind. It’s also best to head in with a Super Mario Bros. Wonder power-up active so that any damage taken will not immediately end the level. Eventually, the bulls will lead Mario to what appears to be the end of the level.

Although this technically is an end to the level, it will not open up the special course. Instead of crossing the finish line, notice that there is a blocked path leading to a golden pipe. In order to reveal the path, at least one player will need to reach the finish line with the Elephant power-up so that they can smash the barriers. This pipe will transport Mario to the secret ending of Bulrush Express. Reaching this ending will then unlock the first Special Course in the Special World of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
