With the introduction of Season 4 of Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard comes many new features including new weapons like the Marco 5 SMG. Some of the new features include brand-new Operators, game modes, a rework of the Caldera map, and four new weapons: the UGM-8 LMG, Marco 5 SMG, Push Dagger Melee, and Vargo-S Assault Rifle. This weapon is immediately available at the release of the new season.
The Marco 5 is a powerful close-range SMG that can be duel-wielded. This mobile, close-range weapon could be a new favorite for players on both Caldera and Vanguard multiplayer. The Marco 5 SMG is described in-game as a high mobility submachine gun that is accurate from the hip with excellent close-range stopping power.
Since this weapon is available to use immediately in Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard at the beginning of the new season, players should look to unlock the Marco 5 SMG as soon as possible. There are multiple ways to unlock it for players who love the run and gun playstyle.
Methods For Unlocking The Macro 5 SMG In Warzone And Vanguard
Much like most new weapons that get released at the beginning of new seasons, the Macro 5 SMG is unlocked through the tier system of Battle Pass. It can be unlocked by reaching tier 15 of the Mercenaries of Fortune Battle Pass. Players can quickly advance through these Battle Pass simply by just playing through games of either Warzone or Vanguard. There occasionally will be temporary events where Double Tier progress can be gained, and it doubles the rate at which players get Battle Pass Tiers through gameplay.
Since the free tier system stops at tier 20, players can unlock the Macro 5 SMG for free through Call of Duty gameplay. However, the second purchased option of Battle Pass for 2,400 COD points will start players at tier 25 and immediately unlock the weapon. Once the season is over, there will be an in-game challenge required to unlock the weapon for players who do not reach the Battle Pass tier by the end of the season. Once the weapon is unlocked in Warzone and Vanguard, it is recommended to add some specific perks and customization onto the Macro 5 SMG.
The Akimbo Proficiency perk will allow players to dual-wield the weapon and the Macro 5 SMG is the first Call of Duty Vanguard weapon that allows this perk. Considering its relatively noticeable recoil and damage falloff at longer distances, the Marco 5 is best when fired from the hip at closer ranges. It is excellent for pushing into objectives, as its high mobility allows players to run circles around the enemy while they struggle to catch their bearings on the player’s position.
