Hades is home to all sorts of exquisite and unusual weapons for players to choose from along their escape, but the Adamant Rail is a special one. This infernal arm requires a lot from the player to be unlocked, and a lot of prior weapons for the player to have already gotten. However, this great weapon originally belonging to Lady Hestia can be well worth a players’ time.
This special ranged weapon is based on a repeating rifle. While causing the player to stand still when shooting and dealing a lower amount of damage, it keeps a good amount of distance of 710 between the player and the enemy. It also is a rapidly firing weapon that deals 10 damage per firing hit and dash attack. Lastly, its special attack is a grenade it fires off that has a damage radius of 400 and deals 60 damage to anyone within it.
Unlocking and Upgrading the Adamant Rail in Hades
The most frustrating thing about unlocking the Adamant Rail is the need for eight Chthonic Keys after the player has already unlocked all the other weapons available. These keys can be gained by players through farming, fishing, and gaining achievements. Players will need to farm quite a bit before they can ever touch this weapon, but this last weapon purchase from the Mirror of Night is well worth it.
Once the player has the weapon, 20 different aspect upgrades can be made to it from its base form. These upgrades come from the four aspects of the weapon; Aspect of Zagreus, Aspect of Eris, Aspect of Hestia, and Aspect of Lucifer. Each aspect has five levels that can be upgraded with Titan Blood.
The Aspect of Zagreus affects the weapon’s max ammo with up to 12 extra bullets. The Aspect of Eris affects the weapon’s bonus damage up to 60%. This also makes the weapon deal more damage for the eight seconds after absorbing the weapon’s special attack. The Aspect of Hestia gives the weapon an empowered shot after manually reloading, upgrading this aspect will affect the distance and damage of that empowered shot. This upgrade can bring the empowered shot damage up to 150 and distance by 150%.
Finally, the Aspect of Lucifer gives the weapon Igneus Eden which causes it to shoot Hellfire. Upgrading this aspect affects the damage dealt by the Hellfire. Igneus Eden also has its own move set. This includes a beam attack that deals 370 damage per 20 ammo clip with a 710 distance and the Hellfire attack which deals 20 damage per second up to 100 damage.
After this, there are 15 other smaller and singular upgrades that can be made to the weapon. These include flurry fire, spread fire, explosive fire, delta chamber, piercing fire, triple bomb, rocket bomb, targeting system, hazard bomb, cluster bomb, concentrated fire, seeking fire, flash fire, triple beam, and infinity chamber. Unlike with the aspects upgrades, some of these upgrades cannot be used together so players will have to pick and choose their favorites for making this an ultimate ranged weapon.
