How to Unlock Every Ending in Oddworld: Soulstorm

How to Unlock Every Ending in Oddworld: Soulstorm

Within Oddworld’s newest game Oddworld: Soulstorm there are four available endings for players to get. Unlike the previous games that were about collecting outlaws within the world and selling them off to pay the Stranger’s medical bills, this game deals with the uprising of a race within the game called the Mudokon. As Abe, players will work to free other Mudokons alongside him throughout the 15 base game levels.

The types of endings that players achieve are dependent on how well their uprising goes. The four possible endings available for players to get are the Final Ending, the Good, the Bad, and the Worst Ending. Each one is dependent on how many Mudokons are saved throughout the player’s journey.

The system works out fairly simply with the percentages of saved Mudokons per level and then how many levels got that percentage. For a level to be considered well done, players need to save 80% or more of the freed Mudokons and make it to the end of the level. The Worst ending will make the game end after the 15th level of the game. The Bad ending grants the player an explosive cinematic at the end of the 15th level. The Good ending grants players two more levels to play through and a cinematic. Lastly, the Final Ending adds the two extra levels and the newspaper cinematic.

For the Worst Ending, players will only need to save 80% of the Mudokons in six or fewer levels. Players will receive the Bad Ending instead of the Worst Ending if they can save 80% in seven to 11 levels of the 15 base game levels. Improve that further to saving 80% in 12 to 16 levels for the Good Ending. Then, to get the Final Ending players will need to save 80% or more Mudokons in every one of the levels, including the extra two levels added by doing well in 12 or more.

For reference, there are around 1,400 Mudokons throughout the 17 levels for players to rescue. However, unlike in the previous games, these followers can be useful to Abe. They can help Abe to get through certain aspects of the map that he wouldn’t be able to do by himself. While players can still go through the entire game without saving any of Abe’s people, they will unlock more access and better endings with more of them saved and in his party.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
