13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a truly unique game blending together real-time strategy and visual novel interaction with a splash of role-playing customization. Players will need to weave through 13 different main characters, following relevant story beats non-linearly. It is only after seeing events from several protagonists’ points of view that the present circumstances make complete sense.
Destruction mode makes the bulk of the game’s action segments. Players will need to take care when deciding which weapons to upgrade for each specific character. Another option is to replay fights to collect extra Meta-Chip currency. Still, Destruction is interwoven with the Remembrance story and Analysis database sections. Under certain circumstances, players may learn more about the Sentinel pilots and the plot during the middle of combat.
How to View Destruction Conversations in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
All Destruction maps take part chronologically after Remembrance segments, so from their point of view the party will have already forged friendships, rivalries, and romantic relationships. What each person winds up stating in their message may contain story spoilers depending on how far a player has progressed in Remembrance or learned by studying Analysis.
- Juro Kurabe’s Message – deploy Megumi Yukushiji into the attack squad and Juro Kurabe into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Iori Fuyusaka’s Message – deploy Ei Sekigahara into the attack squad and Iori Fuyusaka into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Shu Amiguchi’s Message – deploy Yuki Takamiya into the attack squad and Shu Amiguchi into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Tomi Kisaragi’s Message – deploy Nenji Ogata into the attack squad and Tomi Kisaragi into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Megumi Yukushiji’s Message – deploy Juro Kurabe into the attack squad and Megumi Yukushiji into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Natsuno Minami’s Message – deploy Keitaro Miura into the attack squad and Natsuno Minami into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Yuki Takamiya’s First Message – deploy Natsuno Minami into the attack squad and Yuki Takamiya into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Yuki Takamiya’s Second Message – deploy Shu Amiguchi into the attack squad and Yuki Takamiya into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Nenji Ogata’s Message – deploy Tomi Kisaragi into the attack squad and Nenji Ogata into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Ei Sekigahara’s Message – deploy Iori Fuyusaka into the attack squad and Ei Sekigahara into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Renya Gouto’s Message – deploy Ryoko Shinonome into the attack squad and Renya Gouto into the defense squad, then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Tsukasa Okino’s Message – deploy Takoshi Hijiyama into the attack squad then suffer 75% damage without dying.
- Chihiro Miura’s Message – deploy Renya Gouto into the attack squad then suffer 75% damage without dying.
Party members Keitaro Miura, Takoshi Hijiyama, or Ryoko Shinonome do not have words of concern for their comrades. Since most of these are triggered by surviving high damage, it is best to discover them before upgrading defensive stats and enter a Destruction match at a higher difficulty setting. Players may need to approach advancing enemies to both sustain more attacks and avoid damage to the base Terminal. These conversations might play in succession if multiple character requirements are met in a short time. Also, if a pilot disembarks to repair or heal and then takes critical damage a second time, the same conversation will occur within the battle.
