The Prowler returns as part of Miles’s story in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, leaving Stash Puzzles across New York for his nephew to complete. The Prowler made his debut in the series in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and returns here with further puzzles to solve.
The game has a huge number of collectibles for you to find, either after completing the main story or while you’re playing through it. One of these is the Prowler Stash Puzzles, of which there are ten to find across the different districts available to explore in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Each of the puzzles offers rare and valuable Tech Parts along with XP to help further upgrade Miles and Peter’s equipment.
Finding Prowler Stash Puzzles In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
The ten Stash Puzzles can be found across different areas of the map. The first Stash Puzzle is found automatically while playing through the story, Main Quest 06: Amends. Once this quest has been finished the next eight Prowler Stash’s will appear on the map. They will only appear on defogged areas of the map, but can still be found. To remove the fog from any area you need to fully explore that district or reach the second district level which will open up the whole area.
The tenth and final Prowler Stash will only appear after the first nine have been completed. These challenges can only be completed by Miles, so it will not show up if you are playing as Peter. Finding the Stashes will help you level up both Miles and Peter allowing you to unlock the best skills in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
How To Solve Prowler Stash Puzzles In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
At each of the locations in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, there is a safe to open, but you will first need to complete a puzzle to find the door. Once you have found one of the Prowler Stash Puzzles on a map you will need to find a specific scan point which is highlighted in purple within the nearby area, nearly all are which on rooftops. If you hold L2 you can scan objects until the entrance is highlighted.
Some of the Puzzles require further work, such as moving items in front of entrances, using Chain Lightning to open doors or crawling through vents whilst avoiding lazers to get to your destination. Some will also feature different enemy spawns, but they can be easily defeated. The majority of puzzles are straight forward and can quickly be completed once you have found their different locations.

Midtown | Scan the Braxton sign on the side of the building, pull the logo out of the wall, and climb through the vents whilst avoiding the lasers. |
Hell’s Kitchen | Scan the rooftop and pull on the poll at the side of the building to open up the generator. You use Chain Lightning to start the two generators and open the safe door. |
Greenwich | Scan the large gray panel and pull it open to reveal a hidden door. You will need to complete a button timing mini-game before powering up the four generators on the rooftop. |
Downtown Brooklyn | There are two scan points on the roof. First, scan and pull the pole, then do the same with the gray panel on the other side of the building to reveal the safe behind the shutters. |
Williamsburg | Scan and pull the metal door which will open up a wheel puzzle. You will need to shoot webs at the wheel in the correct places to stop it and open up the safe in the middle. |
Little Odessa | The Little Odessa puzzle is on the ground rather than the rooftops where all the others can be found. If you scan and move the blue container, it will allow you to pull the red door open which will reveal the safe. |
Downtown Queens | Scan the vent on the rooftop to be able to crawl into it. Head to the right path and pull the lever which opens up the route to the safe. |
Astoria | Scan the middle panel before using Chain Lightning on it. There will be another three panels nearby to shock which will then reveal the ninth safe. |
Harlem | Scan the pole on the side of the roof, pulling that will open up Miles’s apartment. Once inside the apartment, all you need to do is interact with the TV. |
After finishing the last puzzle players will earn the Co-Signing trophy, as well as further XP and Tech Points. The Prowler Stash Puzzles need to be done for anyone trying to get 100% in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
