Psyonix is celebrating Rocket League’s free-to-play launch by teaming up with Epic Games to host the Fortnite-themed event, Llama-Rama. The event offers players the chance to complete challenges in Rocket League to earn cosmetic items for both Fortnite and Rocket League. While players can redeem Rocket League rewards in-game while completing them, this guide will focus on how players can claim their rewards in Fortnite.
Rocket League announced in July that it would be converting to a free-to-play game. Following the announcement, Fortnite and Rocket League announced a celebratory event in which the two games would team up to deliver incredible in-game rewards to players of both games for simply playing Rocket League shortly after the new free-to-play launch. The Llama-Rama event starts on Saturday, September 26, and lasts until October 12. For each challenge that is completed during Rocket League’s Llama-Rama event, players will earn an additional cosmetic reward in Fortnite.
Claiming Llama-Rama Rewards In Fortnite
Other than an in-game concert, there isn’t much a player can do in Fortnite for the Llama-Rama event, and all of the cosmetic rewards are earned by playing Rocket League. Players can claim their Rocket League rewards by completing the challenges in the Challenge Menu, but there are not options for claiming the Fortnite rewards. First, players will need to make sure their Rocket League account is linked to the same Epic Games account as their Fortnite account. This will allow Epic Games to reward a Fortnite player with in-game cosmetics for completing Rocket League challenges. Then, all a player needs to do is complete the Llama-Rama challenges in Rocket League. Once a challenge is completed, the Fortnite account will be rewarded with cosmetics the next time the player logs in to their account.

As the challenges progress their difficulty increases, but so do the value of the rewards. Players will only have until October 12 to complete the five Rocket League challenges so players will need to hurry before the event ends. Rocket League is free-to-play, and the challenges can be completed on any platform in order to claim the Fortnite rewards.
