How to Level Up Quickly in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

How to Level Up Quickly in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

With the recent release of Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, the race to the level cap has begun! With a top-level of 20 within the game, solo players at a challenge rating of one will need to complete the full storyline twice to accomplish this. However, there are easier and faster ways to complete this race to the end.

The quickest way may sound more obvious than it seems. However, there is no real way to cheat the game and farm experience points. There are a couple of things players can do to earn their experience points a bit faster though.

The Critical Path to Quick Leveling in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

Unlike what players might think, the main way to earn experience points as quickly as possible is to run through the main storyline only. While players can pick up extra side quests, these will ultimately take longer to complete with less reward. Making them less useful to someone who is strictly looking to level up their character as quickly as possible. This is the main way, but there are a few other things players can do in conjunction or aside from this.

One of the options to level up faster is by playing co-op. With at least two players in the party, they will earn more experience points per fight. This can be done as a couch co-op or online. Either way will boost the player’s incoming experience and bring them through the game a bit faster.

Finally, the last good option for players up for a challenge is by upping the challenge rating. The challenge rating, or difficulty rating, will affect how difficult enemies will be to take down. Lower challenge ratings will provide fewer experience points and lesser quality loot, while high challenge rating fights and enemies will do the opposite. There are six levels of challenge ratings available currently and can be picked independently for each mission.

Challenge Ratings:

  1. Adventurer
  2. Hero
  3. Guardian
  4. Champion
  5. Legend
  6. Ascended

When scrolled over, each challenge rating should show how many experience points will be earned for the mission. Depending on the player’s combat score, they may or may not be interested in trying out a higher difficulty level to make some quick experience points. However, with a full party, the higher challenge ratings may be more doable and still offer a faster way to earn the experience.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
