How to Heal in Outriders

How to Heal in Outriders

Players are now jumping into the exciting and chaotic world of Outriders for the first time, and those who hope to survive will need to work hard and watch their backs. All of the enemies that the player comes across in this world are extremely aggressive, so players will need to stay on their toes if they hope to bring them down. Either way, they are going to wind up taking quite a bit of damage throughout the course of Outriders.

Players will want to avoid taking damage from their enemies whenever possible, but sometimes this is unavoidable. Once players begin to see their health dropping they may be left wondering though what they can do. The issue with Outriders is that players won’t be able to heal their character in a traditional way like most games. This guide shows players how to heal in Outriders.

Outriders: How to Heal

How to Heal in Outriders

While most games have the player pick up things like health packs or use items to heal themselves, Outriders does something entirely different. Outriders is designed to be played very aggressively, so the only option available to players for healing is to kill enemies. For every kill that the player scores they will gain a certain amount of health back, but the method for getting those kills depends on what class the player is currently using. Here is how to gain health as each class:

Devastator – When the player gets a kill at a close range they will have part of their health restored.

Technomancer – Any damage that the player deals will restore a very small amount of health.

Trickster – All close range kills that the player deals will restore both health and shields.

Pyromancer – If a player marks an enemy with a skill and then kills them they will a portion of health restored.

Players should keep in mind that their health will regenerate slightly if it gets low enough. Anytime their health drops below two-thirds it will eventually regenerate to the one-third mark. Players will then need to attack their enemies to boost it up higher than that though. Luckily the methods of each class are tailored very well to that class’s abilities, so if the player just uses their class abilities they will more than likely find themselves earning a lot of health.

Outriders can be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
