Players can unlock new weapons and gadgets in Hitman 3 that can be used to eliminate targets, including some more humorous options. Each level of Hitman 3 takes players to a new location from around the globe and provides a detailed environment to explore. After the first run through a level, players can try their hand at some of the challenges for each level. These can include killing a target in a certain way, manipulating events to make NPCs perform certain actions, or finding and using a certain gadget to pull off an over-the-top kill. For completing challenges, players can earn more XP, which will help them increase their Mastery score. One of the more absurd kills in Hitman 3 happens as part of the Angry Birdy challenge in Dubai when players attempt to eliminate Carl Ingram. Players can find an explosive golf ball and convince Ingram to hit it, causing him to blow up.
Unlike many of the other gadgets in the game that will unlock as players climb Mastery levels unless players have reached Mastery level 10 for the Top of the World Dubai level, the explosive golf ball has to be found first. Players will want to make sure they are disguised and will need to listen to some guards chat about Ingram to figure out his typical routine. Then, they will need to try and stress this target out enough to the point where he takes his final strike. Here’s how to get the exploding golf ball in Hitman 3.
How to Get The Explosive Golf Ball in Hitman 3
There are two possible ways to unlock the explosive golf ball in Hitman 3. The one players are most likely to use so they can complete the challenge earlier rather than later is to simply go find the ball. Players will find the exploding golf ball on Level 3 of the building, in a locked storage room at the end of the Maintenance Corridor.
To access this location without detection, players will want to disguise themselves as either Maintenance Staff or a Penthouse Guard. They will need to incapacitate a woman in the Corridor. She will be speaking about the explosive golf ball into her cell phone. She has a Janitorial Key on her person that can be used to unlock the storage room door. Alternatively, if players have it on them, they can use a crowbar to open the door instead.
If players use the Janitorial Key, once inside the storage room, players will need to look behind the red toolbox in the corner to get to the golf ball. Picking it up will add it to the player’s inventory. If players would prefer to use a crowbar, they will need to go to Level 4 while disguised as a Penthouse Guard, then go to the Outdoor Area to the side of the Courtyard, at the small golf green. Here, they can find the Penthouse Terrace Ladder shortcut. Players will need to release the shortcut using the crowbar, which will allow them to climb directly into the storage room for the golf ball.
Either way, a player chooses to enter the storage room, they will then need to return to the Outdoor Area and the golf green. Players should plant the explosive golf ball in the bucket of golf balls by the green. They will need to be sure not to get caught. Then, they will need to find ways to annoy Ingram, which will convince him to go outside and practice his swings. He will use the explosive golf ball and be eliminated, completing the Angry Birdy challenge and the level.
If players want to wait to complete the challenge, when they reach Level 4 Mastery of Top of the World, they can start from the Meeting Room and in disguise, which will help them more easily complete the challenge. And, if they wait for Level 10 Mastery, they will unlock the explosive golf ball and be able to just go plant it, making it easy to finish the challenge faster.
