How to Get Espeon in Pokémon Unite

How to Get Espeon in Pokémon Unite

Espeon is the newest playable character to join the roster of Pokémon Unite. Originating from Pokémon Gold and Silver, Espeon was introduced alongside Umbreon as two new evolutions for Eevee. Espeon aligned itself with the daytime and sunshine, while Umbreon focused more on darkness and nightfall. With Espeon being the newest Eevee-evolution to join Pokémon Unite alongside the Fairy-type Sylveon, players will need to unlock its Unite License first. Like many of the other playable characters in the game, like Gengar and Charizard, Espeon will have its Unite License available in the shop for purchase.

At the start of the match, Espeon will be in its original form as Eevee. After taking down a few wild Pokémon on the field and leveling up, Eevee will evolve into Espeon upon reaching level 4. Espeon can learn Psyshock, a psychic projectile that will also slow down their movement speed for a short period. Alternatively, Espeon can also learn Stored Power, a move that unleashes a powerful psychic attack at Pokémon that are nearby. This will also slow down their movement speed.

In order to unlock Espeon in Pokémon Unite, the player will need to obtain Espeon’s Unite License. Fortunately, there are three different ways to do this. The first is by participating in the special limited-time Espeon event that is currently happening in the game. Players can earn points by logging in and participating in battles. In addition, participating trainers will earn more points for winning matches against their opponents. Finally, after collecting 2,000 points from the event, players can claim the Espeon Unite License without spending any other resources. Although, this event will come to a close on June 11th, and the special Espeon Unite License bonus will go along with it.

Unlocking Espeon in Pokémon Unite

If it’s after June 11th, trainers can still unlock Espeon through the Unite Battle Committee. The Unite License will be on sale for 10,000 Aeos coins. Alternatively, players can spend 575 Aeos Gems to purchase the License. Spending the Aeos Coins is much better since they are naturally collected by participating in battles. Players can grind for these by completing challenges, doing event missions, collecting the Fair Play Points Bonus, and leveling up their trainer.

As for Aeos Gems, the rare Pokémon Unite’s premium currency, trainers can purchase these using real-world money. This is the price breakdown for each chunk of Aeos Gems available in the shop.

  • 60 Aeos Gems: $0.99
  • 245 Aeos Gems: $3.99
  • 490 Aeos Gems: $7.99
  • 1220 Aeos Gems: $19.99
  • 2450 Aeos Gems: $39.99
  • 3050 Aeos Gems: $49.99
  • 6000 Aeos Gems: $99.99

With Espeon costing 575 Aeos Gems, trainers can opt for the $7.99 group to have enough to purchase the Unite License. It’s a much faster method to unlock Espeon for players who are short on Aeos Coins.

Pokémon Unite is available now on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.
