How to Find The Animal Crossing Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Several Animal Crossing spirits make an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Here’s how players can find all the Animal Crossing spirits in the game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the biggest crossover in gaming history. Bringing together characters from beyond Nintendo’s own intellectual properties and pitting them against each other in combat has been a massive staple for Nintendo since the 64 days. The roster beginning with only 8 characters (& 4 unlockable ones) has grown into a massive 70+ character brawl out with characters from varied franchises like Pokemon and Metal Gear Solid. New characters are also being added via DLC to expand the roster to unbelievable proportions. Characters like Byleth from the Fire Emblem series and Terry from Fatal Fury have made an appearance in the series as playable fighters. Although, the DLC is only the beginning of what Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been able to accomplish by being the biggest gaming crossover to ever exist. The game has gone out and sold several millions of copies, making it the best-selling fighting game of all time. Fitting enough, characters from the Street Fighter series, one of the most respected fighting-game franchises in the world, are well represented in the game with Ryu and Ken. Spirits are also how many franchises are represented in the game. These characters range from dozens of different gaming franchises and also needed a place to be represented. Here’s how players can find all the Animal Crossing spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Spirits are a new feature for the Smash Bros. series. Over 1000+ spirits exist in the game with a wide variety of functions. These 2D images are used to represent characters from a wide variety of Nintendo and non-Nintendo series. When players defeat a spirit, they have the ability to equip the spirit to their fighter, providing interesting stat boosts or items for the next encounter. Spirits have even been introduced for franchises that have never had representation in the Smash Bros. series like having characters from Warframe, Rayman, and Shovel Knight. The game also features a story mode where the world has been destroyed by Galeem, a malevolent light entity that wipes out every character in existence. Kirby from the Kirby series is the only character who was able to escape its grasp and it’s up to them to save all of their friends and the rest of the world. Players will navigate an expansive map and defeat spirits and recruit new characters along the way. Players can also unlock spirits by playing in the Spirit Board menu. In the Spirit Board menu, new spirits cycle in and out every few minutes, some ranging from short battles that are easy to defeat to some of the most brutal challenges to exist in the series. Each spirit is ranked by a certain amount of stars to show how difficult they are. The more stars, the harder the challenge. Each spirit encounter is like a children’s imagination, as each battle is a rough interpretation of what the encounter would actually be like. For example, a buzz buzz spirit from the Earthbound series is represented by a tiny Mr. Game & Watch. Here’s how players can unlock all the Animal Crossing spirits in the game.
