How to Farm Meta Chips in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (& What They’re For)

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is comprised of its wild story, crazy mech fights, and giant monsters. Players need to keep their wits about them while they battle their way through the streets and the skies above the city. Mechs need to be upgraded and weapons need to be bought in order to stay ahead of the game.

The upgrade system in the game is pretty simple for beginners to wrap their heads around. This is in contrast to the game’s combat, which can be incredibly complex at times. In order to stay on their feet, players need to collect Meta Chips. Here’s how to get as many Meta Chips as possible in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.

Meta Chips are the primary resource within the game. These are used to acquire pilot and terminal upgrades. These upgrades make the game easier by making weapons more powerful, as well as giving the player a greater supply of options for how to approach the enemy. Players who want to be at their best will need to work on stockpiling Meta Chips. Meta Chips are also necessary for collecting Mystery Points. When players spend Meta Chips in the Meta System terminal, they will receive a handful of Mystery Points to be spent on Files in the Mystery Files menu.

Players that want to get Meta Chips will need to start by simply completing missions. Battles won in Collapse Mode will result in a fresh supply of Meta Chips. Higher performance in the game will result in more points. Player rewards are delivered at a rate proportional to the amount of points won during the fight. There are a few upgrades that will allow players to get more points during their runs. Heading to the Terminal Function Upgrade menu will allow players to acquire some of the buffs that will multiply their ability to earn Chips. Meta Chip Magnification Level 2 to Level 6 will upgrade the player’s ability to earn points. This upgrade functions at up to 1.2 times the regular amount of Meta Chips during a battle.

There is also a Continuous Attack Bonus. This Bonus activates when players work to cut out the time in between attack choices. This is a risk/reward system that nets the player a whole lot of Chips at the end of the battle but can put the player’s units at risk. Make sure units have enough Health Points and Energy Points to account for the additional waves of enemies.
