How To Connect Both LEGO Star Wars Hallway Scenes (Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader)

How To Connect Both LEGO Star Wars Hallway Scenes (Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader)

LEGO Star Wars has just released a model depicting Darth Vader’s iconic hallway scene from A New Hope. However, a few modifications to Luke Skywalker’s hallway scene from The Mandalorian season 2 can combine the two. Requiring only a few pieces (and only one extra doesn’t come with the sets themselves), the respective and similarly iconic moments from both Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker can be brought together as one exciting Star Wars model.

Released on March 1st, LEGO’s Boarding the Tantive IV (75387) depicts the very first scene in the Skywalker saga where Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers arrive on Princess Leia’s ship. It’s also reminiscent of Vader’s hallway scene from Rogue One where he nearly secured the Death Star plans just before they were taken aboard the Tantive IV. As such, it’s very similar to 2022’s Dark Trooper Attack (75324) which depicts Luke’s arrival on Gideon’s light cruiser as he battles the Moff’s legion of Dark Troopers. To that end, here’s how to easily combine both LEGO Star Wars hallway sets together.

How To Combine Boarding the Tantive IV (75387) & Dark Trooper Attack (75324)

Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker’s Mirrored Hallway Scenes

Modifying LEGO’s Dark Trooper Attack (75324) is relatively simple with only a few small changes needed. First and foremost, the wall that’s typically built on the right side of the elevator according to the instructions should instead be built on the left, allowing the wall to be on the same side of the hallway as Boarding the Tantive IV (75387). This can be done by simply reversing the steps from the instructions, though conversely, some collectors may appreciate the aesthetic by leaving the wall as it is.

Next, Boarding the Tantive IV (75387) comes with two extra pins which are meant to be used to combine hallways if collectors buy a second copy of the set, extending the New Hope scene even further. However, they work just as well for those looking to combine Luke’s Mandalorian’s hallway. That said, Dark Trooper Attack (75324) requires the standard 1×8 black brick at the end of its hallway to be swapped out for a Technic-style with holes. Once that’s been replaced, it’s just a simple matter of putting the ends of the hallways together via the pins.

Combining LEGO Star Wars Hallway Sets Creates An Epic Skywalker Legacy Model

Like Father, Like Son

Once it’s all put together, collectors should have a pretty fun “Skywalker Legacy” LEGO model, one that truly shows off the mirrored hallway sequences between Darth Vader and his son. Additionally, there’s just enough room so that the play features don’t run into each other either. Collectors can still flip and pull the floor levers on both sets to mimic Vader and Luke’s impressive Force abilities. All in all, it’s a very fun and epic way to display both LEGO Star Wars sets (while also not requiring any sort of complicated modifications).
