During the Friendship Quest “The Singing Ice” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Elsa the Snow Queen asks Dreamers for their help regarding an issue with large Ice Blocks appearing in her Ice Cavern. While exploring the glacial cave, she touched Anna’s statue, causing the icy spikes to spring up from the cavern’s frigid floor. To remove these giant grounded icicles, Elsa suggests that players upgrade their Pickaxe tool in Disney Dreamlight Valley using a special spell-infused concoction called the Cold of Winter Potion.
Being a magical elixir, the Cold of Winter Potion is naturally not a simple recipe to craft. Making it mandates four ingredients, one of which is a complex quest item that requires multiple resources. Fortunately, three of the resources can be found in the same biome, with the fourth refined item being relatively straightforward to craft. To get started, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans should head into the Ice Cavern, accessible via the entrance on the northern side of the Forest of Valor. The mouth of the cave is distinguishable by its dark purple color and the large ice block sitting near it.
The first ingredient for the Cold of Winter Potion is Ice Chunks ×5 from the Ice Cavern. If players enter the icy grotto after initiating this part of “The Singing Ice” Friendship Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, several sparkling nodes will appear on the frozen floor. Pick up these glittering nodes to acquire five Ice Chunks.
Removing Large Ice Blocks For Elsa In Disney Dreamlight Valley
The next two ingredients are Snow ×3 and a Vial of Freezing Water. As one might expect, Snow can be found around the snowy forests of the Frosted Heights in the form of Snowballs. This resource appears as small, perfectly spherical balls of Snow lying about the area. If Dreamers fail to find enough Snowballs in the first half of the Frosted Heights, they can use the Wishing Well exploit, which involves entering Furniture Mode to place the well on the opposite side of the biome. This action enables players to reach the second half even though they have yet to break the large Ice Blocks barring the bridge in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Vial of Freezing Water is also located in the Frosted Heights biome and can be found near the remote pond near the biome’s southeastern corner. The Cold of Winter Potion’s fourth and final ingredient is the Icy Bouquet, which can be crafted using the three Flowers.
