Psychonauts 2 contains a plethora of interesting bosses to battle, such as the overbearing Die-Brarian. Players encounter the Die-Brarian in Cassie’s Collection, the mental world of Cassie O’Pia. The Die-Brarian is the boss form of Librarian Cassie. The Die-Brarian is a fully-fledged boss fight in Psychonauts 2, therefore, she’s not exceptionally easy to beat.
The reception of Psychonauts 2 has been overwhelmingly positive, partly due to the game’s bosses. Thankfully, the boss battles in Psychonauts 2 include several different ways to come out triumphant. Various methods can be used to incapacitate the larger bosses, and mini-bosses alike. After Librarian Cassie betrays and locks up Raz, Cassie turns into a giant paper monster to assert her true identity. The Die-Brarian then stands on the edge of an octagonal arena where players must fight her.
The Die-Brarian has a slew of attacks and abilities in her arsenal. The Die-Brarian will spawn minions to attack the player as well as minions that heal her. It is important to keep moving around the arena to keep a distance between Raz and the minions. If players stay moving, they will also have a better chance of dodging the Die-Brarians attacks. She has several ranged attacks, so staying in one spot is a death sentence. Focus attacks on the healers whenever they spawn. The Die-Brarian gains back lost health while the healers are casting their green healing spell. The other minions should be taken care of after the healers.
Beating The Die-Brarian Boss Fight In Psychonauts 2
Not unlike bosses from the previous two Psychonauts games, the Die-Brarian has a few ranged attacks. She is able to blow players off the edge of the arena with a shushing attack. Stay moving to avoid this attack, and trudge toward the wind to stay on the platform. The Die-Brarian also throws burning letters at the player that do a good bit of damage. These burning letters will track the player like a homing missile. Again, keep moving and make harsh pivots in different directions to avoid this attack.
Players can use certain PSI powers to take down the Die-Brarian. There are objects and spears scattered throughout the arena. Use telekinesis to pick up these objects (especially the spear) and throw them at the Die-Brarian to do damage. Abilities like pyrokinesis are also effective against the Die-Brarian from a distance. Repeat these PSI power attacks while dodging the Die-Brarian’s attacks to get a knockdown on the paper boss. Once she is on the ground. Use the Projection ability and guide the 2-D replicant into the Die-Brarian’s gated mouth. Repeat this process until the Die-Brarian is ultimately defeated. With the introduction of Psychonauts 2 on Xbox Game Pass, more and more players will need to know how to take down the toughest bosses.
