Gyeongseong Creature will have 10 episodes in total. In other words, after the first seven episodes from Part 1, Gyeongseong Creature has three episodes left. Netflix split Gyeongseong Creature into two parts, with all seven Part 1 episodes released on December 22, 2023. This is why Gyeongseason Creature episode 7 ends on a cliffhanger – the show is not over yet. Korean web series usually have 10 or even more episodes, and while it is not too common for them to be split into two parts, Netflix has done it before. Whether Gyeongseong Creature season 2 will happen remains to be seen, but Part 2’s remaining three episodes are already confirmed.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 Releases On January 5, 2024

Those who binged-watched Gyeongseong Creature will only have to wait two weeks for part two. The remaining Gyeongseong Creature episodes will be released all at once on Netflix on January 5, 2024. When it comes to K-dramas, Netflix has recently done a two-part release with The Glory, which had 16 episodes in total. The first eight episodes of The Glory were released at the end of 2022, whereas the final eight premiered in March 2023. Fortunately, the wait for Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 will be much shorter – just two weeks rather than several months.

Outside of Korean dramas, Netflix has been testing the two-part releases with multiple TV shows, including some of its most successful properties. For example, Stranger Things season 4 released its first seven episodes on May 27, 2022, with the final two episodes premiering on July 1, 2022. You season 4 was also released in two parts, with the second half of the season premiering a month after the first one. The most recent example of that strategy is The Crown season 5, the show’s final, which was also released in two batches of episodes. The runtime for each of the remaining Gyeongseong Creature episodes remains to be confirmed.
