How Liam’s Book In Edge Of History Can Set Up National Treasure 3

How Liam’s Book In Edge Of History Can Set Up National Treasure 3

National Treasure: Edge of History delivered another action-packed episode that set up not only the end of season 1 but could set up National Treasure 3. The show, which is in the same universe as the Nicolas Cage National Treasure movies, features many new characters and a new treasure hunt with high stakes. The action-packed eighth episode could set up the future of the franchise.

In National Treasure: Edge of History episode 8 sees Liam (Jake Austin Walker) and Myles try to locate Jess by using one of Billie’s men’s phones. His home screen reads “Cras est Nostrum,” which Liam remembers because his grandfather Peter Sadusky received a package with that phrase written on it. While Liam doesn’t have a lot of time to look in the book because Myles got shot, it’s revealed that the inside of the book read, “The Book of Famous Lost Treasures.” Inside, highlighted words could be seen, but there’s no indication of what was actually on the interior pages.

How Liam’s Book In Edge Of History Can Set Up National Treasure 3

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets set up the next installment of the franchise by teasing that there’s a treasure to be found by whatever was on page 47 of the President’s secret book. The President even asked Nic Cage’s Ben Gates if he could help him out. When Justin Bartha reprised his role as Riley Poole in National Treasure: Edge of History episode 4, he mentioned that there were “47 reasons to be interested.” This indicates that Riley, Ben, and Dr. Abigail Chase are still working on solving the mystery that was on page 47.

Peter Sadusky had many different old clues from the first two National Treasure films hidden in his clue room, including the Charlotte pipe and the Benjamin Franklin glasses. If Sadusky left this book for his grandson to find, there might be information in it that is pertinent to Ben, Riley, and Abigail’s treasure hunt in National Treasure 3. Sadusky had been a great ally to them in National Treasure: Book of Secrets when he informed Ben Gates that the President’s book existed. It wouldn’t be surprising if he were still looking out for his old friends, even in his retirement. Sadusky may have given his grandson the key to the page 47 treasure.

Does Liam’s Book In Edge Of History Point Towards The Treasure?

The other possibility is that the book Liam found in his grandfather’s study was meant for the treasure Liam and his friends are currently looking for. The end of National Treasure: Edge of History episode 8 implied that the final two episodes would bring all of the major characters to Mississippi to potentially find Montezuma’s Gold. Liam was seen reading the book, so there may be a new clue that either his father Jack or his grandfather Peter left for him about the treasure. Peter was very clue-oriented, so it would make sense he left the answers in plain sight for Liam to find.

It’s unclear if National Treasure: Edge of History will get a season 2, but if it doesn’t, there’s still a way to bring these new and interesting characters into the fold for National Treasure 3. Because of Riley Poole’s connection to Liam and Jess, the two may be vital allies for him, Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage), and Abigail when they look for the treasure that was on page 47 of the President’s book. Hopefully, audiences can get an answer for what’s in Liam’s book in National Treasure: Edge of History‘s final two episodes. It’s unclear if Riley will make another appearance, but it’d be cool to see a post-credit scene of him setting up National Treasure 3 with Liam’s book.
