Luckily, he impressed judges with his most recent routine and earned himself his highest score of the DWTS season.

Vinny really got into character for Elvis night when he and Koko danced the Quickstep to “Viva Las Vegas.” Vinny dressed in a black Elvis costume with the classic Elvis hairstyle and put his all into honoring the legendary singer. After performing poorly during DWTS premiere night, judges were impressed with his comeback performance, which showcased how theatrical Vinny could be.

He put his acting skills to the test once again during Disney+ night when he and Koko performed a Samba to “Il gatto e la volpe” from Luca. Vinny dressed as the main character Luca Paguro and Koko dressed as Giulia Marcovaldo, and the two made sure to include a few acting moments into their routine. Following the animated film’s plot, Vinny expressed his desire to win a Vespa while battling his nerves and inner critique. Luckily, Koko was there to encourage him, like she did for Vinny during rehearsals when he shared he experiences anxiety when dancing. After the performance, Derek praised Vinny, calling him “sensational,” and Carrie Ann Inaba called it “a breakthrough” for Vinny.
DWTS host Tyra Banks added that Vinny needs to start acting in movies and told casting directors to pay attention. Luckily, the show is bringing Vinny a lot of publicity. Vinny admitted to Tyra that he’s acting so much in his performances to help him break into the acting world. With his incredible energy and dedication to the characters he’s portraying in his routines, an acting career is a strong possibility for the DWTS contestant. The show is allowing the world to see Vinny as more than a reality tv star. He’s also proving his strong work ethic by dedicating himself to improving his dance skills each week. Performing on DWTS is no easy feat, and adding in acting further complicates the process, but it proves that Vinny is willing to go the extra mile.

If Vinny continues to dedicate himself to his performances on DWTS and continues the same work ethic outside the show, there’s no doubt he’ll be able to beat the odds and make it as an actor.
