Horizon Forbidden West: All Vista Point Locations

Horizon Forbidden West: All Vista Point Locations

Vista Points are areas that Aloy can interact with in Horizon Forbidden West that project a holographic image of the Old World. Players will need to match up the hologram with an area near where the Vista Point originates, but some of them can be difficult to find. They also need to be aligned precisely,  so finding the right spot to stand in to get the projected image to snap to its real-world counterpart can be a challenge.

To obtain a Vista Point hologram picture, players will need to scan the base of a tall pole, tower, or ruin, then a projection of the Old World will appear. Players will then need to find where the projection fits in the surrounding environment, but some of the Vista Points are underground or underwater and can be challenging to find. While most of the solutions are near the starting point, a few of them are further away, so players will need to explore a wide radius around each starting point to find all of the Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West.

Once all nine of the Vista Points are completed in Horizon Forbidden West, a new location will appear on the map where players can collect an Ancient Valuables Chest. The rewards include an Ancient Sculpture, two Ancient Metal Eyes, an Ancient Necklace, Ancient Chimes, and one Bronze Ingot. Players will also receive an audio log and experience for completing all of the Vista Point puzzles.

The Daunt Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West: All Vista Point Locations

The Daunt Vista Point is likely the first one players will solve, and it’s fairly simple to complete. The starting point is north of The Daunt Relic Ruin in Horizon Forbidden West and in between Chainscrape and Barren Light. After scanning the starting point, players can head north until they see a broken bridge at the edge of the river. The solution can be lined up by standing near the edge of the bridge.

Plainsong Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West Hardest Find Vista Points Plainsong Solution

The Plainsong Vista Point starting point is just west of the Plainsong settlement in Horizon Forbidden West. The hologram is an image of a cluster of satellites surrounded by two wind turbines. To find the solution, players will need to travel south up the path, then climb the cliffside to reach the ledge beneath the broken satellite. The ledge will have a broken metal fence that opens up to the field below where the image can be lined up. Horizon Forbidden West‘s Aloy will need to stand near the edge of the cliff in between the broken fence pieces to complete the Plainsong Vista Point.

Scalding Spear Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West All Vista Point Locations Scalding Spear

The Scalding Spear Vista Point starting location is on the western side of the mountains west of Plainsong. After scanning the tower, players can go west to find a broken down shack with a fallen tree leading to the roof. The solution can be lined up by getting on the roof of the shack and looking out into the open area below. There’s a Sunwing Machine Site in the area, so Aloy will either need to deal with the machines or sneak around them to complete the Scalding Spear Vista Point.

Memorial Grove Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Players will need to travel north of Memorial Grove toward the Salt Bite region to solve this Vista Point. The starting point can be found near the Horizon Forbidden West Campfire fast travel location north of Memorial Grove and close to the lake. To the northeast, there’s a path leading to a cliffside that can be climbed to reach a ledge facing toward the broken satellite dish. The Vista Point can be solved by lining up the hologram with the satellite dish from this ledge.

The Stillstands Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West All Vista Point Locations The Stillstands

The Stillstands Vista Point is at the northern edge of the desert and north of Hidden Ember. Scanning the tower will reveal a projection of a few towers with some mountains or hills in the background. From the starting point, players can head north toward the mountains and climb up the cliff north of the tall metal tower. There will be a broken metal fence on a cement platform that Aloy can stand on to line up the hologram from The Stillstands Vista Point in Horizon Forbidden West.

Dunehollow Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West Hardest Find Vista Points Dunehollow Solution

To reach the solution for the Dunehollow Vista Point, players will need to complete “The Sea of Sands” in Horizon Forbidden West and access the underground area beneath Hidden Embers. The starting point can be found by going underground and heading south toward the Eiffel Tower to find the broken structure near its base. The solution is at the crumbling eastern edge of the broken bridge in the northern section of this underground area. Players will likely need to walk around the edge of the bridge a bit to line it up because the Dunehollow Vista Point solution is very particular when it comes to where Aloy is standing.

The Long Coast Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West All Vista Point Locations The Long Coast

The tower for Horizon Forbidden West‘s The Long Coast Vista Point can be found at the northwestern coast of the mainland north of Tide’s Reach. There’s a small island west of the starting point where players can find the solution for this Vista Point. To line up the projection, players will need to climb up to the highest point on the small island and face northwest to look toward some building ruins along the shoreline. The Long Coast Vista Point has a fairly straightforward solution and should be easy to complete in Horizon Forbidden West.

Shrouded Heights Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West's Hardest-To-Find Vista Points Shrouded Heights Solution

To solve Shrouded Heights Vista Point, Aloy will need to have the Diving Mask unlocked in Horizon Forbidden West. The starting point is in the northwestern area near the edge of the map. On the westernmost island, the Vista Point can be scanned by the northern shoreline. After scanning it, Aloy will mention that the solution may be underwater. Players can dive underwater and head north from the starting point until reaching a large ruined structure. To get the image to line up, Aloy will need to grab the underwater speed boost, but not activate it. The image should line up and trigger Aloy’s dialogue for the Shrouded Heights Vista Point.

Isle of Spires Vista Point Location in Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West Hardest Find Vista Points Isle Spires Solution

The Isle of Spires Vista Point will only unlock after the other eight Vista Points have been completed. The starting point is located in the southern part of the Isle of Spires in Horizon Forbidden West. After scanning it, Aloy will mention that it looks like the image was taken from high up. Completing this Vista Point is much easier if players have the Sunwing mount unlocked, but the solution can still be found without it.

Without the Sunwing, Aloy will need to climb all the way to the top of the nearby metal structure. From the small, square platform, Aloy can walk out onto the attached pole to line up the image with the ruined city. The Isle of Spires is the last Vista Point in Horizon Forbidden West, and completing it will unlock the reward location where players can claim an Ancient Valuables Chest.

Horizon Forbidden West is available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
