The long-awaited LEGO Ideas Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sister’s Cottage has been officially revealed, transforming the Disney film’s cast and location into a highly detailed 18+ set. The 1993 fantasy comedy followed a group of kids and a cursed cat who find themselves targeted by a trio of witches after accidentally resurrecting them on Halloween. Despite initially becoming a box office bomb, annual television airings and increasing home media sales helped solidify Hocus Pocus‘ legacy as a cult classic, resulting in merchandise, a Disney Parks presence, and eventually a Disney+ sequel in 2022.LEGO has announced that Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sister’s Cottage will allow people to recreate scenes from the film in brick form.
The 18+ set features detailed recreations of both the cottage and its gates, and includes six minifigures of Winifred (Bette Middler), Mary (Kathy Nijimi), and Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker), Max (Omir Katz) and Dani Dennison (Thora Birch), and Allison (Vinessa Shaw), as well as a black cat to represent Thackery Binx (Sean Murray). The 2316-piece modular cottage designed by Amber Veyt can be opened to reveal a bubbling cauldron, the Witches’ brooms, and their cursed candle. Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sister’s Cottage will be available on July 4 for $229.99 USD.

With Hocus Pocus finding its audience audiences across the 30 years since its release, the once seemingly-doomed comedy has been revisited time and time again by the company. The Sanderson Sisters have appeared in video games and even led performances at seasonal Disney Park shows, with the film’s audience consistently growing over time.
