Hitman 3’s Most Over-The-Top Accidents

Hitman 3’s Most Over-The-Top Accidents

Hitman 3 is almost a week old, and so far the reviews are almost all positive. While the conclusion of the World of Assassination trilogy doesn’t break much new ground, it definitely expands on and improves the features in the previous two games as well as the overall series. Rather than reinvent the wheel, developer and publisher IO Interactive has given Hitman fans even more of what they love. There are many more ridiculous disguises for 47 to wear, plenty of new gadgets, and dozens of ways to stage accidents. And once again, the staged accidents are some of the most fun in the game.

Staged accidents have been part of the Hitman franchise in one form or another since the first game in 2000, Hitman: Codename 47, but they were first introduced as a formal gameplay mechanic in Hitman: Blood Money in 2006. While staged accidents can take almost any form imaginable, they all have one important feature in common: they allow 47 to make the kill without anyone noticing. Accidents are the cleanest way to get the job done. Since nobody even knows the accidental death was an assassination, nobody will look for an assassin. Even better, accident kills often allow the player to achieve a Silent Assassin rating.

Hitman 3 doesn’t disappoint. The game’s six levels contain lots of new ridiculous death traps to help 47’s targets meet their ends. The world of Hitman has never been less safe, or more hilarious. Here are Hitman 3‘s most over-the-top accidents.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: Keep Your Eyes Peeled

Hitman 3’s Most Over-The-Top Accidents

It was only a matter of time before IO Interactive gave 47 the ability to kill via banana peel. This accident is possible during the game’s first mission, Dubai. First 47 needs to obtain two evacuation keycards from safes in two different security rooms. These security rooms are also good spots to pick up the banana necessary for this kill. Then, trigger the evacuation and prompt the level’s two targets, Marcus Stuyvesant and Carl Ingram, to evacuate. They’ll run to the top of the building and don skydiving suits for a parachute escape. Just put the banana in the right spot near the parachutes and let them slip to their doom. Just make sure to “place” the peel instead of throwing it.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: Icarus

47 kills stuyvesant

One of the Dubai targets, Marcus Stuyvesant, fancies himself an art collector, and this can be used to 47’s advantage. He’s recently purchased a ludicrously large pink light installation called “The Sun,” which 47 can sabotage and use to fry Stuyvesant. First, find a crowbar and use it on the wooden crate in the third level’s security room, which contains a fuse cell. Then locate the Art Exhibit on the third floor and place the fuse inside the fuse box at the top of the installation. Wait for Stuyvesant to show up. As he opens his arms to embrace The Sun, flip the switch on the control panel and watch the sparks fly.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: One For The Ages

47 electrocutes Alexa

This accident from Hitman 3’s second level, Dartmoor, makes the list for the visual alone. In order to murder Alexa Carlisle during her own family photo, find a crowbar and open a crate to locate a fuse, which can all be done near the greenhouse.

Then, sneak the fuse into the photographer’s camera, making it operable. When the coast is clear, use a screwdriver to tamper with the electrical wiring under Alexa’s chair. The Carlisles will gather for the photo, and Alexa will meet her end–right at the moment the picture is taken.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: Grave Mistake

47 pushes alexa into grave

Another memorable way to bump off Alexa Carlisle is to shove her into her own open grave. To do this, 47 needs to pacify the undertaker, who’s roaming the graveyard near Thornbridge Manor in Dartmoor. Alexa will arrive to supervise her funeral arrangements, and 47 can literally send her into her own grave. What makes this accident even better is that Alexa had faked her own death and staged her funeral to avoid 47 in the first place. As 47 explores Thornbridge Manor, various staffers comment about how a fake funeral feels like tempting fate. They wind up being correct. Hitman 3’s Agent 47 can also choose to shovel Alexa’s body over with dirt, which admittedly makes the “accident” angle a tougher sell.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: How The Turntables

how the turntables kill

To pull off this multi-target accident, 47 first needs to tamper with the light right inside Club Holle, the underground rave club that makes up the game’s third level, Berlin. First, locate the dance floor and find the catwalk above it, where the light rig’s control panel is located. Get up there and use a screwdriver to tamper with it. Then, 47 will need to impersonate a DJ. There are three DJs in the level, but one of them hangs out outside the DJ booth and can be isolated and pacified easily. Once a DJ, wait inside the booth until patrolling ICA Agents Banner and Montgomery are standing on the catwalk, and then let the sparks fly.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: Mnemonic

47 kills hush

Hitman 3‘s fourth level, Chongqing, introduces Hush, an inventor working on a device that controls people’s minds. Sure enough, 47 can use it to kill him. Following the “Impulse Control” mission story will lead to this kill, but it’s also possible to simply sneak up to the top floor of Hush’s research lab.

Either way, locate Hush’s test subject on the top floor, knock him out, and steal his disguise. 47 will also need to eliminate Hush’s lab assistant Junli, who stops Hush from using too much voltage. Then join Hush’s experiment. Each time Hush tries to control 47’s mind, hit the “resist” prompt. Resist enough times and Hush’s mind will explode.

Hitman 3 Ridiculous Accident: Pulp Friction

47 shoving vidal into grape crusher

It’s possible IO set the fifth level, Mendoza, inside an Argentinian winery for the sole purpose of creating this kill. First, locate the chief winemaker patrolling the vineyard, subdue him, and take his outfit. Then approach the winery and 47’s target, Tamara Vidal, who’s accompanied by a friend and by 47’s handler, Diana Burnwood. As the winemaker, give Vidal and company a tour of the winery. In the production room, she will lean over the massive grape crusher, giving 47 the opening.

Those are just some of the most ridiculous kills in Hitman 3. Hitman 4 likely won’t come out for some time, so fans will have to wait and see what other crazy accident IO comes up with.
