Hitman 3: How to Transfer Progress From Hitman 1 & 2

Hitman 3: How to Transfer Progress From Hitman 1 & 2

Some fans are disappointed with the shorter length of Hitman 3, however, it’s bringing back the old games alongside it via level imports. Not only does the game allow players to import the old levels of the first and second games, but players can also import their progress from the previous games if they didn’t finish them. This also allows for new players to get a chance to play through the older games all through one console and game.

There’s no need to worry about console generations with the importation of levels either as long as they are all from the same console line. Though, even if a player falls into this category, they will still be able to get the levels, just not their progression. Here’s how to access the previous game levels.

When creating this game, developer IO made it possible for players to gain access to the previous games’ levels through a DLC access pass or simply by owning the previous games on the same console line. The DLC access pass will cost money for those who do not have the previous games, but this will allow newcomers to the series to have access to all three of the games’ levels and storylines. Buying them is easier than the process will be with previously owned games as well.

Hitman 1 Importing Steps:

If the player wishes to import the levels from the first Hitman that they own, either digitally or through a disc, they will need to import them first into Hitman 2. Doing this will unlock the Legacy Edition of the second game, which will in turn unlock the Legacy Edition of that game in that platform’s store for the third game. Also, if the player didn’t own the Game of the Year Legacy Edition of the first game, they will unlock it through the process of importing it onto the third game.

Hitman 2 Importing Steps for PlayStation:

If the player is importing Hitman 2 from a digital copy they had, it should already be available within the DLC access pass content. However, if the player is importing the game levels from a disc they will need to redeem the access pass via the second game before it will be available on Hitman 3‘s access pass/DLC area. The Gold Edition of the second game will work the same as the standard editions when importing.

Hitman 2 Importing Steps for Xbox:

Xbox players may need to either own a digital copy of Hitman 3 or the Hitman 2 Free Starter Pack to redeem it in the Hitman 2 store. The Gold Edition of the game will work the same as the standard when importing levels.

Hitman 1 and 2 Importing Steps for PC:

Currently, PC is experiencing some issues with importing the levels. Particularly, if the different iterations of the game were bought through different game sources. The Epic Games Store is the main one having issues, though these should be solved within time after the launch. The Epic Games Store has also gifted those players who buy the third game within the first 10 days of release immediate access to the first games’ levels for free.

Hitman 3 is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia, and PC.
