Hit Video Game CULT OF THE LAMB is Coming To Comics Via Kickstarter & Oni Press

The acclaimed 2022 video game, Cult of the Lamb, could be expanding with a new comic series from Oni Press: Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse. This series will adapt and expand on the game’s lore. Fans of Lamb, the cult leader, will have the opportunity to experience his story in a new way, while new readers can readily jump in for the first time.

Now available to support on Kickstarter, Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse has the creative team of Alex Paknadel and Troy Little. It is the result of a partnership between developer Massive Monster, video game publisher Devolver Digital, and comic publisher Oni Press.

The hit game just received a DLC expansion, Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh, but now the world will expand beyond gaming. In addition to the live Kickstarter campaign, Oni Press has shared a teaser image.

Alex Paknadel is known for working on All Against All and Red Goblin. Troy Little is an Eisner Award-nominated artist known for Chiaroscuro, Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons, and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. Little’s work on the graphic novel, Angora Napkin, was nominated for an Eisner. This all-star team is prepared to tackle Cult of the Lamb’s next big potential expansion – but only if fans can turn Lamb’s dream of developing a bigger cult following into a reality via crowdfunding.

Oni Press has had several big project and comic announcements this year, including a partnership with Elijah Wood. Upcoming comic series titles from the publisher also include Cemetery Kids Don’t Die, Night People, and Akogun, Brutalizer of the Gods. The company also recently published Dwellings and Jill and the Killers. Cult of the Lamb could be the publisher’s next big video game-related hit. Its history of comics includes titles like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Dream Daddy, and Invader Zim, among others.
