Canva now offers a series of AI features to help creators perfect their projects, including what it’s calling ‘Magic’ image editing and creation tools. The platform, which debuted 10 years ago, now has over 125 million users across the globe. Following in the footsteps of competitors who have embraced AI technology, Canva recently introduced a picture generator called Text to Image and a copywriting tool, Magic Write.
Canva’s new features for its Visual Suite are available for every type of design. The first AI tool is called Magic Design, which lets users upload an image and then select a style to get a curated selection of personalized templates that can then be customized. Magic Design is not just about formatting, though — it will also automatically select fonts, photos, graphics, and styles to create the perfect design. With this, users can also create engaging and on-brand presentations in just a few clicks. Users simply enter a prompt of a few words, and the editor will create a range of presentations with an outline and content on each slide.

Magic Edit, Magic Eraser, And Magic Write
Other notable new features are Magic Edit and Magic Eraser. The Magic Edit tool will modify a picture based on the directions users give it by adding or replacing anything in the image. Users just need to identify where they want to place something, describe it, and watch as it appears. The Magic Eraser feature helps users to clear out unwanted details in images by brushing over the area.
The Magic Write feature helps to make writing quicker by generating text based on the user’s prompt. While Magic Write was previously available on Canva Docs only, the updated one will be accessible across the entire visual work suite. This tool has the capacity to generate content based on existing text. Users are able to expand, summarize, or rewrite text by just one prompt. There is also the option of autofilling, which allows Magic Write to generate new text to complete a partially completed design.
Improved Text to Image & New AI Translation
Text to Image is nothing new for Canva users, but there have been some significant updates since the original feature was introduced. Text to Image tool usually allows users to create unique images from a simple description in a moment. The newer updates include high quality pictures at over 2K resolution, reduced generation speed by 68 percent, and the introduction of 10+ creative new image styles. The feature is now accessible in all languages and Canva.
Canva also now offers a Translate feature that’s designed to close the language gap by converting documents or designs into 100+ languages. Users can effortlessly incorporate text into their design, select the desired language, and immediately translate the text. After that, they can make adjustments until it is flawless.
