The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes passes a major milestone at the domestic box office. Based on the book by Suzanne Collins, the prequel film follows Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Gray Baird during the 10th Hunger Games with a cast that includes Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman, Hunter Schafer, and Viola Davis. The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes was released in theaters on November 17 and despite a franchise-low opening, it held up strong in its second weekend.
Now, the Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes box office has soared past a major domestic milestone. Per Deadline, the prequel film has passed the $100 million mark at the domestic box office, and is close to crossing the $200 million mark worldwide as well.
