Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive first look at a bonus feature of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. Based on the beloved Disney theme park ride, Haunted Mansion follows Ben Matthias, a once successful astrophysicist who is grieving his lost love, when he is recruited to help Gabbie, a single mom, and her son Travis, who seem to have moved into a haunted house in New Orleans. The pair is desperate and going to whoever they think could help, including not only Ben but also Father Kent, who has his own secrets, Harriet, an eccentric psychic with genuine abilities, and Professor Bruce Davis, an acclaimed historian.
The motley crew must work together to free Gabbie and Travis from the ghostly clutches of their new house. However, as they investigate, they discover there is more to the story than they ever could have imagined. Haunted Mansion brings the magic of the attraction to life with family-friendly spooks and laughs, along with an exploration of grief. The movie will debut on digital and DVD this October, just in time for the spooky season.

In Screen Rant’s exclusive clip from one of the Haunted Mansion’s bonus features, the filmmakers discuss the importance of building the entire Haunted Mansion for the actors to explore. Rosario reveals that the level of detail is so incredible that it made her emotional when she walked onto the set. Tiffany Haddish explains that the sets truly capture the essence of the ride, making the actors feel like they were able to step out of the doom buggy and explore the Haunted Mansion on their own.
Fans will have a ton of bonus content to keep them busy as they explore the Haunted Mansion further, including deleted scenes, an extended gag reel, and bonus featurettes. These featurettes include “Making Haunted Mansion”, which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look into how the movie was created, including bringing the ghosts to life, new technology, and how the ride inspired the movie. The other bonus feature, “999 Happy Haunts,” reveals countless Easter eggs from the ride, including both how and where they made their way into the movie.
Haunted Mansion is directed by Justin Simien from a script penned by Katie Dippold. Haunted Mansion features a star-studded cast led by LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chase W. Dillon, and Jared Leto.
