Harper House Trailer Gives First Look at Paramount+’s Adult Animation

The Harper House trailer gives viewers a sneak peek at the first animated adult sitcom from Paramount+. Since it relaunched this past March, the relatively new streaming service has been expanding its list of original animated programming. So far, that list includes a reboot and spinoff of the classic Nickelodeon children’s shows Rugrats and Spongebob, an animated Star Trek series, and Stephen Colbert’s latest political variety show, Tooning Out The News.

Now, Paramount+ shared the trailer for The Harper House, its first animated situational comedy geared towards adults, at a virtual Comic-Con panel this past week. The trailer, which is now available on Youtube, introduces viewers to the eccentric Harper family and their amused new neighbors. Paramount+ will release the first three of ten episodes on September 16, followed by weekly installments premiering every Thursday. Watch the full trailer here:

The new comedy comes from creator Brad Neely, who’s behind the offbeat Adult Swim cartoons Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio and Chicago, IL. The cast is led by Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) and includes Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Gabourey Sidibe (Empire), Jason Lee, Ryan Flynn, Gary Anthony Williams, Nyima Funk, VyVy Nguyen, and Lance Krall. The trailer hints at a loopy but touching family comedy full of solid punchlines that fans of Bob’s Burgers and Big Mouth will want to check out.
