Halo Season 2 Trailer Reveals More Of Joseph Morgan’s Game Villain

A new trailer for Halo season 2 reveals more about Joseph Morgan’s video game character James Ackerson. Initially premiering in March 2022, this live-action adaptation of the popular video game franchise of the same name follows Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, a genetically enhanced super soldier, who fights in a war to defend the human race from extinction. After the release of the largely controversial Halo season 1, a new season of this video game adaptation, which Paramount+ would hope serves as a course correction of some sort, is set to premiere in a few weeks’ time.

Now, following a short teaser released for Halo season 2, Paramount+ has put out a new trailer for the forthcoming season of the show. Watch it below:

The new trailer focuses on James Ackerman, a highly skilled and dangerous intelligence operative who Captain Jacob Keyes, another seasoned UNSC officer, refers to as the boss. In the trailer, Ackerman, who is played by the talented Joseph Morgan, is also seen preparing operatives of the UNSC for the “hard choices” to come.

Even though longtime fans and followers of the Halo video game franchise were not too pleased with the show’s first season for a number of reasons, they didn’t have to worry or speculate much about the show’s future, as Paramount+ had already ordered Halo season 2 a month before the season 1 premiere. The new season of the show is set to premiere on February 9th, 2024.

Alongside Joseph Morgan, who looks set to play a major role in Halo season 2, the cast of the forthcoming season looks largely unchanged from the first. Pablo Schreiber and Jen Taylor are both expected to return as Master Chief and Cortana, while other actors like Natascha McElhone, Shabana Azmi, Danny Sapani, Olive Gray, and Natasha Culzac are also all expected to reprise their respective roles.
