Halloween’s Michael Myers Duplicates Britney Spears’ Viral Knife Dance

A hilarious new video shows Halloween’s Michael Myers replicating a viral clip of Britney Spears dancing with knives. Recently the troubled pop singer caused a stir by taking to Instagram and posting a video of herself dancing with a pair of kitchen knives, prompting concerns for her safety. However, Spears herself claimed the blades were not real in the original post and later asked fans to “lighten up” about the viral clip which she shared ahead of the coming Halloween season.

Spears’ advice was taken to heart, with a clip shared on Twitter by iHorror.com with a dancer replicating the pop singer’s moves beat-for-beat while wearing the iconic mask of the classic horror villain Michael Myers.

This new clip shows the masked killer side-by-side with Spears’ original video, showing off his moves in comparison with their knife-wielding originator. The new video is even accompanied by John Carpenter’s iconic Halloween score.

What Does The Future Hold For Halloween’s Michael Myers?

While the original 1978 Halloween was not the first movie to introduce audiences to the tropes of slasher horror, it is still widely regarded as the film responsible for popularizing the genre throughout its golden era during the 1970s and 1980s. Though later films in the long-running franchise would each experience varying levels of success, with some being as far-fetched as mimicking Spears’ dance, Michael Myers quickly became regarded as Hollywood’s most recognizable movie maniac and the inspiration behind other classic masked killers such as Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and Scream’s Ghostface.

Most recently, however, Michael finally met his end at the conclusion of David Gordon Green’s revamped Halloween trilogy. With his body fed into an industrial shredder by Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode, it would seem any hope for Michael’s return was quickly destroyed along with his body. Yet in a franchise that has already undergone several continuity reboots and has featured a long list of unlikely happenings, many viewers are expecting that it is only a matter of time before Michael dons the expressionless mask one more time.

Even Jason Blum, under whose Blumhouse Studios the most recent Halloween films were made, has intimated that 2022’s Halloween Ends would not be the last Halloween movie, even if it would be the last one his studio was involved in. With Miramax now actively searching for a new studio to pick up the Halloween franchise rights, it is likely that a new filmmaker or television showrunner will be given the opportunity to put their own spin on the character sooner rather than later. If, or when, that happens, perhaps a Britney Spears cameo may prove a fun little addition.
