Halloween Stylized Art Has Michael Myers Closely Stalking Laurie Strode

Michael Myers closely stalks Laurie Strode in highly stylized Halloween art. Directed by the legendary John Carpenter, 1978’s original horror thriller not only set the template for all slasher films to come, it also provided an early showcase for future scream queen icon Curtis. Carpenter’s movie was only the beginning for Curtis’ Strode and her tormentor Myers however, as the two would meet many times in future years, staging a seeming final confrontation in 2022’s Halloween Ends.

It’s yet to be seen what the future holds for the long-running Halloween franchise, but the original film holds a permanent place in horror history, and recently received a cool tribute in stylized art via creator Liam Brazier. Check out the artwork below:

The artwork, which is featured in the Halloween book Printed in Blood, goes by the title “Bad Shape,” a reference to Myers’ original name “The Shape.”

Will Laurie Strode And Michael Myers Ever Meet Again

Halloween Ends indeed seemed to mark the end of the road for the characters of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. But original Halloween director Carpenter for one has gone on record as saying he doesn’t believe the franchise is finished, and there is in fact talk of a potential Halloween TV series after rights to that franchise were recently acquired by Miramax.

The financial success of the recent David Gordon Green-directed Halloween trilogy would seem to indicate that the IP continues to have value all these decades after the original film. What a new TV show set the universe would do with the story is yet to be seen, but going back to the well with Curtis’ Laurie Strode seems to be off the table after the definitive resolution the character experienced in the last film of the aforementioned new trilogy.

There is of course always a chance that Strode could be recast, in a Halloween TV series that completely reboots the universe. If that were to happen, then Myers and Strode would indeed be in line to meet again. Even if Strode does not return to the franchise, Michael Myers would be certain to come back, as there would be no point doing a show built around Halloween without the series’ iconic masked killer.
