New weapons are available as part of the new Contract DLC in GTA Online. While the main campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5 has yet to receive substantial story content, the online mode continues to bring in old characters from previous entries. In the new Contract DLC, the player is tasked with teaming up with Franklin to recover Dr. Dre’s stolen music files. Both Franklin and Lamar are key players in the main story so seeing them return is enough of a reason to boot up GTA Online again. Outside of all the new story content, a handful of new weapons can be unlocked to add a bit of variety to the player’s arsenal.
When the Los Santos Tuners update was released for GTA Online, it made a heavy emphasis on vehicle-related content. Like Los Santos Tuners, players will be introduced to the new story content after updating the game. After the update, four new properties will be available for purchase. The cheapest of which will cost players about $2 million to purchase. Go to the Dynasty8 Exclusive website and choose one of these buildings. After the purchase, go to this location and the Contract missions will begin.
Players will need to purchase one of these GTA properties to unlock the new Contract weapons. There are three new weapons available in this update, the Stun Gun, Compact EMP Launcher, and the Heavy Rifle. The first two will be available within the player’s armory after they visit their property for the first time. As for the Heavy Rifle, the player will need to go to Ammu-nation and purchase it separately. This is a complete breakdown of each weapon’s use and price.
Every New Weapon in the Contract DLC in GTA Online
- Stun Gun: After purchasing one of the agency properties, purchase the armory modification. Players can then purchase it for $326,250.
- Compact EMP Launcher: Similar to the Stun Gun, players can purchase this weapon after they have made an armory modification. It will cost $456,750 to buy it.
- Heavy Rifle: There are two different options for this one. Players can purchase it from the upgrade armory modification like the other weapons, or it can be purchased from Ammu Nation for $414,000. Buying it at the armory will give a discount.
The Stun Gun can take out enemies from a distance without doing any lethal damage. On the bright side, the game allows players to further customize their weapons with different designs. Although, this will cost additional cash. There are tons of different ways to make money in GTA Online fast. Players looking to grab all three of these new weapons will spend a pretty penny collecting them all.
