Each Wonder Girl selects a distinctive skill to challenge Diana in, with the condition that if they lose, they must swear to the gods not to interfere in her battles and let her face them alone. Yara opts for an archery contest, and Cassie selects an arm wrestling match. Predictably, both Wonder Girls lose. Donna, on the other hand, opts for “something different,” which is later revealed to be a video game match resembling Mortal Kombat. Despite Donna’s advantage, Diana wins, leading all three Wonder Girls to swear an oath, committing to let Diana fight alone.

Just when it appears that Diana has gotten her wish to face her adversaries alone, the Wonder Girls surprise her by showing up at her apartment, each clad in battle-ready attire. In a united front, all three express a shared sentiment, stating that sworn oaths and the gods mean nothing compared to their loyalty and duty to Diana and that they refuse to abandon her when she needs them the most. Although the comic concludes before unveiling Diana’s reaction, it strongly suggests the formation of a cohesive team of Wonders.

The timing of the formation of the four Wonders couldn’t be more crucial, especially as the Sovereign is currently assembling his own “army” to confront Wonder Woman. Despite his previous attempt to leverage the might of the US military, Diana emerged victorious against overwhelming odds. Now, the Sovereign is adopting a new strategy, building a team composed of Wonder Woman’s most formidable adversaries, including Darkseid’s daughter, Doctor Psycho, Giganta, Silver Swan, Angle Man, and Circe. With such a formidable lineup of foes, Wonder Woman will undoubtedly require all the help she can get.
