Goku & Vegeta’s Best Dragon Ball Super Manga Moment Recreated in Epic Fan Animation

Goku & Vegeta’s Best Dragon Ball Super Manga Moment Recreated in Epic Fan Animation

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR DRAGON BALL SUPER GRANOLAH ARC

Some of Dragon Ball Super‘s best moments have yet to be animated, but a talented artist took it upon themselves to create Ultra Ego Vegeta and True Ultra Instinct Goku‘s epic team-up in a fan animation that sets a bar for the anime’s return. Since DBS‘s Tournament of Power, Goku and Vegeta have grown stronger and unlocked stunning new transformations. While some of Dragon Ball‘s strongest characters have pushed the Saiyans to these new heights, some fans got tired of waiting for the anime’s return, so they made a peak moment themselves.

An arc following Dragon Ball Super‘s anime explores what happens when warriors wish on a set of Dragon Balls to become the universe’s strongest fighter. Their interests unsurprisingly collide with Goku and Vegeta, prompting some of the most intense fights in the franchise. One of those great moments was recreated in a fan animation by X user Nachairo99.

The highly cathartic moment from the Granolah arc shows Goku and Vegeta powering up to their fullest in their new transformations and rushing toward the universe’s strongest warrior, Gas. Nachairo99’s animation of the epic scene was created with stunning visuals and compelling voice acting before the Dragon Ball Super anime could complete the task.

Fan Animation Raises The Bar For Dragon Ball Super’s Return

With Goku learning from the Angel Whis and Vegeta taking tips from the God of Destruction, Beerus, the two Saiyans have unlocked new forms befitting celestial deities. Vegeta’s training with Beerus allowed him to use destruction energy with his Ultra Ego form, which grows stronger the more he takes damage. In contrast, Goku has found a way to adapt Ultra Instinct to work even more effectively, thanks to Whis’s tutelage. The two god-like teachers briefly show up in Nachairo’s fan animation in brilliant impact frames as their disciples prepare to fight their most formidable opponent yet.

Goku and Vegeta often prefer to fight opponents one versus one, but only a few dire situations have seen the two team up without using fusions. With the Granolah arc’s antagonist, Gas, powering up himself considerably, thanks to a wish on the Dragon Balls that significantly reduced his life span to become the universe’s strongest fighter, the Saiyans had their work cut out for them. Because of their reluctance to team up, the incredibly epic moment adopted by Nachairo stands out as a significant highlight of the arc that viewers are anxious to see adapted beyond the manga.

Although a brand new anime titled Dragon Ball Daima is set to release in the Fall of 2024, there has yet to be any official news about the return of the Dragon Ball Super anime. The Moro and Granolah arcs feature several exciting battles and satisfying character moments for many of the series’ beloved cast. Still, seeing Goku and Vegeta powering up into their new forms and rushing Gas was a treat fans didn’t think they would see in motion for a long time. Thanks to Nachairo’s work, the wait for more Dragon Ball Super anime has become more bearable.
