Gohan’s Beast Form In Dragon Ball Super Has One Key Advantage Over Goku And Vegeta

Gohan Beast, the new form Gohan awakened in Dragon Ball Super has quickly become one of the series’ most powerful transformations. This form is not only proven to be on par with Goku’s Ultra Instinct, but it also seems to have overcome a massive obstacle that Goku and Vegeta have struggled against for years: stamina. Despite the massive power boost this form grants Gohan, it does not seem to be hard for the half-Saiyan to maintain it or transform at will.

This has been the main limitation faced by the strongest Z Warriors for years, as each new transformation became harder for Goku and Vegeta to hold for long periods. Without realizing it, Gohan has managed to overcome a problem that not even Beerus and Whis were able to help his father and the Saiyan prince with.

This would imply that in an all-out battle among all Saiyans, Gohan would be the last man standing. It also shows that he has a mastery of his strongest transformation that puts both Goku and Vegeta’s past efforts to shame.

Gohan Beasts Breaks Away From a Major Franchise Tradition

Gohan Has no Issues Maintaining His Transformation as Long as He Needs

Dragon Ball Super chapter #103 depicted Gohan battling against Goku, Vegeta, and Broly to prove how powerful his new Beast Form is. At the request of his father, Gohan demonstrated the incredible power boost this new technique provides him. After the half-Saiyan proved powerful enough to go toe-to-toe against Goku’s Ultra Instinct, the older man asked his son if he still had strength left in him. Gohan answered affirmatively, prompting Goku to request that his son fight Broly, a battle that lasted at least 30 minutes, seeing as Gotenks’ fusion came undone during the fight.

Even after all that, Gohan was still prepared to fight Vegeta, who attacked him without holding back. These three fights would have likely drained any other Saiyan in their strongest form, as Goku has confirmed that transformations like Super Saiyan Blue drain the user’s energy dramatically fast. Yet, Gohan was the only one who did not look exhausted at the end of the battle. Goku’s son acclimating to this new form in such a short time is an incredible feat that has not been achieved by anyone before. This goes to show just how much potential Gohan is hiding.

Goku Could Have Figured It Out Before His Son

He has already mastered Ultra Instinct, so he could have surpassed his stamina problem

Basically every big new transformation that debuted in the series had a time limit, as the user would not be able to withstand that power for too long. This was especially true for Ultra Instinct, as that’s incredibly hard to master, but Super Saiyan Blue also had a problem with energy leaking. Gohan, on the other hand, seems to be able to use Beast at will, and to keep that form as long as he needs, which is a major break from the franchise’s tradition.

However, during Goku’s battle against Beast Form Gohan, the older Saiyan demonstrated that he had already mastered the Ultra Instinct technique as it did not drain Goku of his stamina rather fast like the first few times it was used. This did not seem to be an issue during chapter #103, which could imply that Goku managed to find a way to preserve his energy while in this state.

However, it took years of training and many life-or-death battles for Goku to get to that stage, while Gohan has apparently mastered Beast in a few months of training with Piccolo, showing that Dragon Ball Super has decided to take an innovative approach to its most recent transformation.
