Godzilla X Kong Is Guaranteed To Push The Monsterverse Past An Impressive Milestone

When Godzilla x Kong comes out in March 2024, it will certainly help the Monsterverse reach a very impressive milestone after just five movies.

Previous installments in the franchise received PG-13 ratings for almost identical reasons, generally involving intense sequences of creature/monster violence, action, destruction, and mayhem. However, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong contained varying amounts of “brief strong language.” It appears Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has received its PG-13 rating solely for its monster mayhem, which is to be expected given the emergence of the Skar King, a foe formidable enough that it will require two titans to take him down.
