An exceptionally skilled God of War player has beaten Sigrun the Valkyrie Queen in world-record time ahead of the imminent release of God of War Ragnarök. The mythic 2018 action game has nine Valkyrie bosses for Kratos and Atreus to tackle, with these optional encounters pushing the player’s combat prowess to its absolute limit. The Queen of the Valkyries in God of War serves as the title’s ultimate challenge, though one masterful player is able to beat her in mere seconds.
As reported by GamesRadar, Reddit user and God of War master AhmedRoasko recently broke a world record by defeating Sigrun in a breathtaking thirteen seconds. The veteran warrior manages to dish out an unbelievable amount of punishment using a tactical combination of endgame New Game+ items and optimal Runic attacks. The Armor of Zeus multiplies the damage Kratos deals, for example, while the Mists of Helheim attack deals constant frost damage in a wide area. AhmedRoasko’s build seems to favor Strength and Runic, which lets the Hyperion Slam take off a huge chunk of Sigrun’s health before Kratos melts her using the Talisman of the Realms’ time freeze ability.
God of War Players Have Found Sigrun Infamously Difficult
The boss Valkyries in God of War are all incredibly formidable, but Sigrun is easily the most difficult to defeat of the nine bosses. To face the Queen Valkyrie in battle Kratos and Atreus must first find and eliminate the first eight, which each possess their own fighting styles and abilities. Once the first eight are dead their helmets can be arranged at the Council of Valkyries, which unlocks the battle against Sigrun. The unrelenting winged warrior combines the powers and tactics of the other eight Valkyries, which makes her an incredibly versatile and unpredictable foe for even the toughest God of War players.
While Kratos and Atreus appeared to defeat all of Norse myth’s Valkyries back in God of War, it has been revealed that God of War Ragnarok introduces new Valkyries for a terrifying 2v2 boss battle. Details about the sequel’s story are being kept under wraps, but Kratos and Atreus will face the powerful duo in a mysterious area that may be the mythical Norse void of Ginnungagap. 2018’s God of War mercifully made the Valkyries optional enemies that players were free to ignore, but it looks like God of War Ragnarok will force a brutal rematch during its main storyline.
With her massive arsenal of combat moves and daunting durability, Sigrun is by far the most difficult enemy that players can face in 2018’s God of War. However, AhmedRoasko has used flawless skill and expertly optimized gear to completely annihilate the Valkyrie Queen in only thirteen seconds. As the November 9 launch of God of War Ragnarok approaches, it appears that its 2018 predecessor has been well and truly mastered.
