Genshin Impact: Where To Get Genius Invokation Cards

Genshin Impact’s new Genius Invokation TCG mode will have an extensive and hopefully ever-expanding roster of cards with elements based on the universe of HoYoverse’s RPG. The content is part of update 3.3, which also brings the new playable characters Wanderer and Faruzan, limited-time events, a story interlude chapter in Sumeru, and anticipated banner reruns of fan-favorite heroes. The 5-star highlights are Arataki Itto, the Geo descendant of the crimson oni; Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon from Inazuma; and Kamisato Ayato, Ayaka’s older brother and a Hydro swordsman DPS.

Although there are a few requirements to unlock it, users will learn how to play Genius Invokation TCG through a short quest initiated inside The Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt. Operating similarly to the Serenitea Pot system, here they have a dedicated Player Level (and, consequently, Player EXP), challenges, and an exclusive currency called Lucky Coin.

How To Get More Cards for Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact

According to HoYoverse, cards can be unlocked and bought in a few different ways in Genshin Impact. Character Cards, specifically, can be obtained through two distinct methods. The first of them is using the invitation board inside The Cat’s Tail to send invitations to challengers on the Player List. They can then be dueled and, in case players defeat them and complete the challenge objectives, earn the “corresponding Character and Talent Cards.” A fairly important detail is that the first invitation sent to a specific character will require a Match Invitation Letter, which can be obtained by increasing the Player Level in Genshin Impact’s take on a TCG.

The second way to get more Character Cards is through Tavern Challenges. Here, after reaching an unspecified Player Level, the Traveler can talk to Prince at The Cat’s Tail to tackle Adventure Challenges. These mini-quests will test players’ mastery of the multiple gameplay systems in action in Genius Invokation TCG. An example cited by HoYoverse is a Special Rule applied to The Oceanid’s Concern, where “‘Rhodeia of Loch’ is immune to Frozen, Stun, and Petrification, gains Elemental Lifeform: Hydro when the battle begins, and starts with the Talent Card ‘Streaming Surge’ equipped.” Both methods of acquiring Character Cards have two levels of difficulty. The easiest one is Friendly Fracas, while Serious Showdown is the hardest. Character and Talent Cards can be obtained normally in Friendly Fracas.

Inside The Cat’s Tail, which features Klee in a fan animation, players can also find the Card Shop. This is the go-to place to obtain cards, card backs, Dynamic Skins, and other items – although it is necessary to reach a certain undisclosed Player Level in Genius Invokation to buy Dynamic Skins. The items purchased here must be done with Lucky Coins, the gameplay mode’s exclusive currency. To obtain more Genius Invokation money, players should complete open-world matches, weekly guest challenges, and quests available in the TCG Player’s Manual.

For now, all Genius Invokation TCG cards are acquirable through ordinary gameplay and require no use of the gacha system. Adjustments to the game mode will be made based on player feedback and statistics that HoYoverse is tracking. Genshin Impact 3.3, which has multiple events scheduled, is available across all platforms (PlayStation, PC, and mobile) as of December 7.
