Genshin Impact Version 2.0: All New Playable Characters Confirmed

Genshin Impact Version 2.0: All New Playable Characters Confirmed

The livestream for Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.0 update has finally confirmed which new characters will be playable in the new content. While leaks from the last beta test, as well as datamined and previously announced characters, were all prevalent online ahead of miHoYo’s latest livestream, the broadcast confirmed which rumors were true – and which characters players may have to wait a bit longer for. For those that missed the stream, here’s every confirmed playable character for Genshin Impact 2.0.

Last month, miHoYo seemingly beat many leakers to the punch by revealing several Inazuma characters. While the reveals stopped just short of confirming them for the next update, fans were treated to profiles on new Genshin Impact characters like Yoimiya, Sayu, and Ayaka. Ostensibly, all of these characters would be arriving in the next update after Kazuha’s Banner in Version 1.6.

The livestream for Genshin Impact 2.0 was hosted on Twitch, with the video expected to go live on YouTube later today. It also marks the first time the broadcast has gone on simultaneously in multiple countries. Because of previous Genshin Impact character leaks, perhaps some of the reveals weren’t all that surprising. However, for those looking forward to the Version 2.0 update, here’s every playable character that was confirmed during the livestream.

Genshin Impact’s Playable Characters Confirmed

Genshin Impact Version 2.0: All New Playable Characters Confirmed

The first new playable character officially confirmed for the next Genshin Impact update is Ayaka, followed closely by Yoimiya and Sayu. Since these characters have been previously revealed by miHoYo, it’s not incredibly surprising that they’ll be the first new playable characters in Version 2.0. However, it’s still nice to have official confirmation that they’ll be arriving soon.

Perhaps most surprising of all were the characters who were teased during the livestream. This included previous Genshin Impact leaked characters like Tohma, as well as Kokomi, Yae, Sara, and Gorou. Another exciting reveal was the final, official design of Inazuma’s Archon, Baal, also known as the Raiden Shogun. Inazuma will be a massive new region, so it’s great to see that a huge number of new characters are showing up too.

As Genshin Impact continues moving through Inazuma, more characters native to that nation will likely debut. With a such a massive update coming soon, there’s plenty for fans to look forward to, including all the new playable characters like Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu. The other characters shown off during the broadcast should appear in-game and become playable soon, too.
