The Crown of Insight is one of the rarest materials in all of Genshin Impact. Genshin Impact offers multiple methods for building up characters and their abilities, from defeating enemies in the wild to pulling for stronger weapons or defeating weekly bosses for their materials. Players can also use Character Development items to level up specific characters.
The Crown of Insight is a Character Development item that allows players to level up a character’s combat talents from level 9 to level 10. Many of these Character Development items can be found in the world through Talent Books and Weekly Boss Drops, but several, including the Crown of Insight, are even harder to collect. The Crown of Insight is rare, but there are several ways for players to unlock one.
The first way players can get a Crown of Insight is by making an offer to one of the trees in Teyvat. Currently, there are two different trees in Genshin Impact. The Frostbearing Tree requires Crimson Agate for rewards, can be found in Dragonspine, and will grant players a Crown of Insight once it reaches Gratitude Level 11. The Sacred Sakura is located in Narukami Island and will reward players with a Crown of Insight for reaching Favor levels 5, 15, and 25.
Get The Crown of Insight from a Genshin Impact Event
The second method to unlock a Crown of Insight in Genshin Impact is by playing the limited-time events. These events have a special Shop that will only be active during the event. Usually, players can purchase Crowns of Insight from these Event Shops using the special event currency. Once the event is over, the chance to grab the Crown of Insight is gone.
Some previous events that included redeemable Crowns of Insight included the Lantern Rite, Unceconciled Stars, and the Midsummer Island Adventure. The Crown of Insight will likely return in an Event Shop when a future event is announced.
Once players have a Crown of Insight, they will usually also need Mora and an assortment of other materials called Talent Materials to completely level a talent from Level 9 to Level 10. Each character’s Talent Materials are different, but Crowns of Insight are almost always required. The Crown of Insight allows specific Genshin Impact characters to reach new heights, and that is likely why it is so rare. Players should use these materials sparingly when they can get them and focus primarily on leveling up talents on the character or characters they prefer to main.
