Genshin Impact: How To Change Traveler’s Element

Genshin Impact: How To Change Traveler’s Element

Genshin Impact’s Traveler can change elements without a Vision, with each element available thus far corresponding to a specific Archon. New elements are unlocked for the main character of Genshin Impact with every new region they explore. No other character has this ability, and it makes Traveler a unique part of a player’s roster with plenty of potential.

Changing Traveler’s elements in Genshin Impact is quite important, as they get new skills corresponding to the element that can dramatically change their playstyle. This will also help them solve each region’s respective puzzles and mechanics, which tend to utilize the elements most prominently associated with them. While some may argue that Genshin Impact updates keep making the Traveler worse, the release of Traveler’s Dendro kit in patch 3.0 was well-received by the player community.

How To Change Traveler’s Element In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact: How To Change Traveler’s Element

To change the Traveler’s element in Genshin Impact, players must have unlocked different nations apart from the starting one of Mondstadt. Once they start playing the game, the main character will already be imbued with Anemo powers and, due to the initial prologue restriction, they can’t change to a new one.

Despite the fact that the Anemo Traveler was considered Genshin Impact‘s best free character close to its release, much has changed since then. Not only were new free-to-play characters added to the game, but new regions arrived, further expanding the main character’s elemental prowess. Genshin Impact’s Traveler can change elements based on the region they are in, meaning once they arrive in Liyue, they can change to Geo.

To change Traveler’s element in Genshin Impact to Geo, players must approach a Statue of the Seven in Liyue and select the option that says “Resonate with Geo”. This will only happen if the Statue of the Seven is approached by the Traveler character themselves. Having them in the party is not enough, and the option will not present itself until the playable character on the field is the Traveler.

After players unlock Inazuma in Genshin Impact, they will be able to resonate Traveler with the Electro element following the same method. The same is true with Traveler’s Dendro resonance once players have unlocked Sumeru. All they have to do to change Traveler’s elements in Genshin Impact is take the character to a Statue of the Seven located in the region of the element they desire to resonate with and apply the change.

In case Traveler eventually gains control over Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo during the next few years, they will also likely follow the method. Of course, changing Traveler’s elements in Genshin Impact to any of the three mentioned likely involves unlocking the respective nations of Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya. Although Fontaine’s release date in Genshin Impact is rumored for 2023, being able to alternate between all of Genshin Impact‘s elements might take quite a while yet.
