Genshin Impact 4.2 Charlotte Kit Leaks – Vision, Skills, & Burst

Genshin Impact 4.2 Charlotte Kit Leaks – Vision, Skills, & Burst

The complete gameplay kit for Charlotte in Genshin Impact has allegedly leaked, revealing the intricacies of her abilities, how she operates on the field, and much more. The leaks detail her Skill, her Burst, her Passive Talents, and even her Constellation levels. Charlotte is a new 4-star hero who is finally making her debut as a playable character in Genshin Impact 4.2. She was initially presented in the game as an NPC ahead of Fontaine’s release. Charlotte is a journalist for the Steambird and was visiting other nations in Teyvat to write up a story for the local newspaper in the Nation of Justice.

Although Charlotte has been officially announced as an upcoming playable character by developer HoYoverse, her abilities, and other gameplay details have been kept under wraps so far. Nevertheless, there is a multitude of Genshin Impact 4.2 leaks and rumors circling ahead of the Version’s release, and Charlotte’s gameplay kit is included. This bundle of information also contains Furina’s leaked gameplay kit in Genshin Impact, which indicates the Hydro Archon will be a support character. Curiously enough, Charlotte’s leaks also point toward her being a support character in team comps. If the leaks about Charlotte are true, players may be looking at two new support debuts in Version 4.2.

Charlotte’s Vision & Normal, Charged, & Plunging Attacks In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact 4.2 Charlotte Kit Leaks – Vision, Skills, & Burst

According to Charlotte’s debut in the game itself, the character holds a Cryo Vision, which is strapped to her thigh. From its design, it is confirmed that Charlotte’s alignment within the Pneuma and Ousia system in Genshin Impact is to Pneuma. As shown on leaks shared by Sportskeeda, Charlotte is a Catalyst user, so her Normal Attacks deal Cryo DMG. Her Charged Attack consumes Stamina and deals a small AoE Cryo DMG attack. Charlotte’s Plunging Attack is the regular one used by catalyst fighters. The highlight is the animation set for her Normal and Charged Attacks, which see her taking pictures with her camera.

Charlotte’s Elemental Skill In Genshin Impact, Explained

Genshin Impact's Kirara stands to the left, the male Traveler slightly to the right, Charlotte behind him to the right, and Paimon to the right. They look at something off-camera in the desert. There is a Teleport Waypoint behind them.

As seen in the leaks shared by Sportskeeda, Charlotte’s Elemental Skill will be one centered around her photography skills. In a sense, it is expected that the animation will be similar to that of Nahida’s Elemental Skill, in which she also takes pictures, but with her fingers. Like Nahida’s Skill, Charlotte’s Elemental Skill is expected to have two versions in Genshin Impact: one that is a tap version, while the other one is a hold version. When tapping the Elemental Skill button, Charlotte will apply a debuff to the opponents in front of her and deal Cryo DMG to them in delayed intervals for a certain period.

According to Gameort, this debuff is called Snappy Silhouette, and can be applied to a total of five opponents. The hold version of Charlotte’s Elemental Skill, on the other hand, sees the character hold down her camera while the viewfinder expands and marks opponents. She can move her camera around freely, so it seems there will be another similarity with Nahida’s hold version of her Elemental Skill in Genshin Impact. Meanwhile, there is a timer that counts down called Finisher Frame. The leaks say that, if Charlotte holds down the camera until the end of the timer, she will deal Cryo DMG to all the opponents caught in the viewfinder.

Additionally, when Finisher Frame ends, Charlotte applies the Snappy Silhouette debuff to the opponents. If players release the ability only after the end of the Finisher Frame timer, another debuff called Focused Impression will be put into play instead of Snappy Silhouette. As pointed out by Gameort, Focused Impression lasts longer and deals more DMG, but at the cost of a longer cooldown for the Elemental Skill. By the description of her Skill, Charlotte’s role in Genshin Impact may be hard to define, but it does seem like she will be something of a sub-DPS with support capabilities – something that is reinforced by her leaked Elemental Burst.

Charlotte’s Elemental Burst In Genshin Impact, Explained

Genshin Impact's Charlotte looks surprised as she holds a Kamera with both her hands. She wears a red and white outfit, as well as a monocle.

The details about Charlotte’s Elemental Burst have also been leaked. The ability, called Still Photo: Comprehensive Confirmation creates an area, that deals AoE Cryo DMG to nearby opponents. The other important effect is that, upon triggering the Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact, Charlotte will restore HP for all current party members, even if they are not active on the field. The active character, however, will continue to restore HP while the Elemental Burst is still active. Charlotte’s healing capabilities will scale off her own ATK stat.

In addition to the initial blast, the Elemental Burst’s Verified Scene will also deal Cryo DMG at set intervals. Until Charlotte’s final version is released in Genshin Impact 4.2, it is hard to predict which of the main combat abilities will play a more important role, mainly because the stats so far are not well-known. Nevertheless, the description of Charlotte’s off-field capabilities via her Burst and its healing properties reinforce the idea that she will, in fact, be something of a new sub-DPS and support character.

Charlotte’s Passive Talents In Genshin Impact

Like most other characters in Genshin Impact, Charlotte is expected to have three Passive Talents. This information has been confirmed by the Version 4.2 leaks. The first passive is called Moment of Impact and, when opponents marked by Charlotte’s Focused Impression are defeated, the cooldown for her Elemental Skill will be decreased by two seconds. The effect can happen four times every 12 seconds. Her second Passive Talent is called Diversity Survey, and it has two different effects based on the player’s chosen team comp. For every Fontainian character in the party other than Charlotte herself, she will gain a 5% healing bonus, up to 15%.

Alternatively, for every non-Fontainian character in the party, Charlotte will get a 5% boost to Cryo DMG, up to 15%. The third and last Passive Talent leaked in Charlotte’s gameplay kit is called First-Person Shutter. This ability sees that, after equipping the Special Analysis Zoom Lens gadget in Genshin Impact, the hold version of Charlotte’s Skill does not trigger the original effects, but allows her to take photos “in a more special way.” Exactly what this special mode entails is currently unknown.

Charlotte’s Constellations In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact's Charlotte poses in Mondstadt.

Charlotte’s leaked C1 sees that, after her Elemental Burst heals a character, it will also mark them with Verification, which will heal them once every two seconds for 80% of Charlotte’s Attack. This effect lasts six seconds. C2 focuses on her Elemental Skill. When the Skill hits 1/2/3 (or more) enemies in Genshin Impact, Charlotte’s ATK stat will be increased by 10%/20%/30% for 12 seconds. C3 will increase the level of her Elemental Burst by 3 and boost the cap level to 15. With C4, when Charlotte’s Burst hits an opponent marked by Speedy Silhouette or Focused Impression, it deals 10% more DMG and restores 2 Energy to Charlotte.

The Energy restoration with her C4 can be triggered five times every 20 seconds. C5 increases her Elemental Skill’s level by three and boosts the cap up to 15. Charlotte’s C6 is the most complex. When the active character’s Normal and Charged Attack hit opponents marked by the Elemental Skill’s Focused Impression in Genshin Impact, her camera will initiate a follow-up attack that deals 180% of Charlotte’s ATK as AoE Cryo DMG, while also healing the active character(s) within the same AoE for 42% of her ATK stat. This effect can be triggered every six seconds, and both DMG and healing will be considered as part of her Elemental Burst.

The leaked descriptions of Charlotte’s Passive Talents and Constellation levels add to the argument that she will be used as an off-field sub-DPS and a support character. Her single ATK scaling also seems promising, as a single stat seems to dictate Charlotte’s damage output and her healing capabilities. Players will have to wait for Charlotte’s release in Version 4.2 to come to a conclusion about her potential in a team comp, but the leaks do seem to indicate a solid Cryo catalyst user to employ in Genshin Impact.
