Arataki Itto is the second promotional 5-star character whose Banner is featured for the Genshin Impact‘s Version 3.3 update. Players will have the opportunity to pull for him up until the first half of the update, which should end on December 27, 2022. Arataki Itto is a claymore Geo character in Genshin Impact who primarily focuses on dealing high damage while on-field. Due to this playstyle, Itto is a Hypercarry unit that requires strong support, preferably characters who can increase his damage output. His best Talent for battle would be his Elemental Burst, which has Itto entering an offensive state that will also increase his damage based on his defense stats and will increase his resistance towards interruption while attacking.

Itto has strong survivability due to his defense-focused build, but he can also unleash massive amounts of damage with his Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Elemental Skill when boosted by his Burst. Arataki Itto’s team comps in Genshin Impact can be free-to-play friendly, as he works well with many Geo element characters such as the Traveler and Noelle. The 4-star Banner character Gorou can offer tremendous aid to Itto with his Talents, which increases defense and Geo stats for allies. Above all else, Itto’s mobility and AOE potential make him an ideal character to use when facing either a mob of enemies or single bosses.
One of Arataki Itto’s biggest weaknesses would be the strict team build required to maximize his potential, since he’s typically locked into a three-Geo team. Players can use different allies with different elements, but that can potentially harm Arataki Itto’s performance in battle. Having restrictions for team builds will eliminate the aid from many of the best support characters in Genshin Impact. Another notable weakness for Itto would be his reliance on using his Elemental Burst. If players cannot charge his Talent in time then it can affect team rotations and will drastically decrease damage.
Players planning on pulling for Arataki Itto should also consider that the Geo element does not have strong Elemental Reactions when compared to more offensive elements like Pyro, Dendro, or Hydro. Instead, it’s important to dedicate resources to improving his raw damage output. A great Artifact set for Arataki Itto would be the Husk of Opulent Dreams because the equipment will increase both Geo damage and defense. Unfortunately for many players, grinding for Artifacts in Genshin Impact can be a problem, but if fans fully commit to building Arataki Itto then he will be a rewarding character to use.
